Boo!
She’s starring in a Broadway musical during the summer hiatus — but that does not mean Zooey Deschanel plans to return to the New Girl set singing and dancing!
Well… at least not more than usual!
The adorkulous actress squashed rumors that the FOX comedy is planning an all-music episode.
Deschanel says she is “not sure” the theme fits with the tone of the show. She admits her musical ability would be better suited for another critically acclaimed sitcom:
“The comedy is totally different on Community. They can get away with making things a bit more surreal.”
BUT, she hasn’t ruled out the idea completely!
Zooey confessed:
“I think it would be really fun, and I’d love to do something like that. They’d just have to find a way to put it into the reality of [New Girl‘s] world.”
Why not just make it a dream??
That absolutely makes sense because Zooey’s character would dream almost exclusively in musicals!
Problem solved! We’ll be expecting out check in the mail 🙂
