Melanie Griffith's teenage daughter, Dakota Johnson, has already made her first trip to rehab!
The new issue of The National Enquirer reports that Melanie and Don Johnson's daughter, who turned 18 in October, completed a 30 day rehab program in September.
Dakota went to the Visions Teen Treatment Center in Malibu for drug and alcohol addiction, the pub states.
Following rehab, she spent some time at an outpatient program in Brentwood.
Both of Dakota's parents, Don and Malanie, have each spent time in rehab themselves for drug and alcohol.
Rehab by seventeen, that's so Hollywood!

WOW! Dakota Johnson is very pretty, I imagine thats what Melanie may have looked like before she inadvertantly walked into an ongoing bar fight and had her face all fucked up - well, by the looks of it, I'm guessing that's what happened!

You know, years ago movie stars used to send their children to boarding schools to get them away from the "Hollywood" influence & lifestyle. Why don't they anymore? Some of these kids don't have a chance at a normal life. Such a waste.

To all you Hollywood producers who might be reading this: you should cast Angelina in a movie about Benazir Bhutto. She's played a black woman in the past. She could do Pakistani too. I wouldn't be surprised if she's already gotten some offers to do this. I'd pay to see a movie like that. Angie and Brad were actually in Pakistan after the earthquake. She's a UN Ambassdor after all, and she looks a LOT like Benazir. Benazir was a beautiful woman too!!!!!
Not a surprise. She looks like an unhappy girl, even when she was the miss golden globe whatever. Melanie is a skank, she, Don and her first husband all had drug problems. Yet, she told her son if he smoked pot to tell her and she would do it with him, which she did. Not only is that sick for a mother to do, but she suggested it knowing the addiction gene on both sides. Antonio left is decent first wife for this train wreck. He deserves what he is going to get, which is probably his kid with a drug problem like the other two in a few years.
Here's the deal folks. These people are famous and have no time for their kids. They are messed up people with messed up lives and messed up kids. If your washed up, or are a child of someone famouse - get pulled over for DUI or go to rehad. BOOM - famous again!

I worked for Don and Mel before Dakota was born. In fact she and I talked a lot about family and kids as she and Don were just about to marry for the second time. I got pregnant a month before she did and my now 18 year old son is doing a lot better than the "HAVE EVERYTHING" celeb kid. Just goes to show…MONEY CANNOT BUY EVERYTHING!!!

What teenager doesn't need to go to rehab? Teendom is a living hell, probably more so if you're rich and famous. I'm 53 now, but I was in rehab at that age, as were the majority of my friends - most of whom are completely functional now (the ones who are still alive!). It's the people who don't get it out of their systems when they're young and discover the lure when they're older that have more of a problem being honest with themselves later on.

Completed last September? That's kind of old news, but, well, good for her then for confronting the thing and doing rehab and educating herself about the lure and pitfalls of alcohol and drugs. The bright and curious can get bright and curious about the wrong things when they are young and feeling infallible.
Her Dad's a pistol, as is her Mom, so of course it's not a stretch that she might also be. Very best wishes to her and their family now.

Excuse me but I never did any drugs as a teenager nor does my teenage son. In fact I have NEVER had any sort of drug problem I think drugs are overhyped and for the weak.

Having lived in southern California since 1979-I don`t know very many parents that HAVEN`T sent their kid(s) to rehab. It may not even have that much to do with drinking and/or drugs…they just get rebellious and out of control and parent(s) don`t know what else to do. When they can afford it-the kid(s) go to rehab…when they can`t-the kid(s) goes to juvie. If they care-the parents go to toughlove first. Don`t know if one is better than another…seems like a phase or something here in soCal!

Teenagers getting help for drug use is not that shocking. I'm a drug counselor, I work with kids, and we got a lot of them. Just because she went to treatment does not mean she's an addict. I don't consider any of my kids addicted. She's probably just using as the result of her unusual upbringing. When you start using as a kid, you never gain a sense of who you are (been there, done that). It don't matter if you're rich, poor, black, white, whatever. It all looks the same. But, I will agree that it does start with the parents…..
I don't know if it's "so Hollywood" so much as so common that the child of addicts will become an addict, as well. There is a genetic component in a lot of addictions (particularly alcoholism).
