Execs at Universal have just about had it with Wino!
The label threw bags of money Amy’s way so the singer could return to St Lucia and finally record the promised follow-up to Back To Black, an album Universal has been waiting years for Amy to record!
The label flipped their shiz when they found out instead of dedicating time to the new record, Wino has been dabbling in the studio with Damon Albarn’s virtual rock project Gorillaz!!
“Imagine how they felt when they realized she had agreed to work with Gorillaz? They couldn’t believe it,” a source from the label bitched to reporters.
“It’s an unnecessary distraction. They think she should invest all her energy in her own music. She should be knuckling down and delivering the goods.”
To add fuel to the fire, Gorillaz are represented by Universal’s rival, EMI!
Winehouse is said to be outraged at her label’s protest to the collaboration but how can Wino even complain when her trip is on Universal’s dime???
