A Preview Of Shitney's New Album

People magazine got an advance listen to Britney Spears' new album and they conspicuously failed to mention in their review if the songs were great, bad or mediocre.
They say:
Like many of today's young dance-pop starlets, Britney sounds like she's looking back to the '80s as she moves forward toward the release of her fifth studio album (and first since 2003's In the Zone), due out Nov. 13.
In addition to the pulsating first single, "Gimme More," other tracks we heard at an exclusive preview have a synth-heavy sound that nods to new wave. The defiant "Piece of Me" the likely second single and possible album title, features Spears's heavily processed voice issuing the challenge: "You want a piece of me?" to her foes. The track was produced by Bloodshy & Avant, the Swedish producing team behind her hit "Toxic."
"Break the Ice," another uptempo number featuring Spears's trademark breathy vocals, was produced by Timbaland protegée Nate "Danjahandz" Hills.
The Rihanna-esque "Radar" (also produced by Bloodshy & Avant), sets Spears's chirpy delivery to a bouncy beat, while the driving "Heaven on Earth," an early fave, is a throbbing throwback to "I Feel Love"-era Donna Summer.
That makes us highly suspicious!

I hope this album is great or even good ebcause, being a britney fan, I hope she comes through this hot mess, but I feel that she just needs to be with her family, friends, just seek proper help. Fans will always be there if she takes a break. *Sigh* Who knows…there will be little promotion and no tour…this is coming from a Britney fan.

I think that she knows that she is done and just want to have one last shot at having everyone talk about her. Even if it is for the wrong reasons. You really can't assume that it is going to be bad and even you have said good things about songs being leaked to the internet. Actually, that review is pretty FAIR! I think People magazine knows that most everybody can see-through Brit's "talents". I did find it interesting that several times in review, they noted who REALLY produced the songs and how her VOICE was DIGITALLY enhanced. Unless you sell yourself as a "club/techno" performer, nobody is going to buy your "rock and pop" with lipsyncing and digitized voice. Not unless your under 14.
The reviewer probably learned the old adage: "If you can say anything nice, then don't say anything at all." Obviously, the reviewer could not say anything nice so opted to simply describe the songs without comment. However, a close reading of the article strongly indicates that the album will be an over-synthesized piece of shit.
