Los Angeles City Attorney Carmen Trutanich has released a brief and cryptic statement saying that his offices are looking into the Michael Jackson memorial for “criminal aspects” pertaining to the taxpayer costs.
Trutanich informed the members of the City Council that officials have interviewed witnesses and have compiled evidence to probe the situation and their findings have raised “both civil and criminal aspects.”
Basically, he’s looking at the $1.4 million dollars spent for police and other services during the Jackson memorial to see if there are some discrepancies.
Where, who, what, and why are still unanswered, but we’re sure we’ll hear much more about it as more information becomes available.
