Longtime sidekick to Howard Stern, comedian Artie Lange has been hospitalized!
Lange’s publicist has released a brief statement confirming that the known addict is currently in a New Jersey hospital, saying:
“We can confirm that Artie is in the hospital. Artie has chosen to keep all information on this matter between him and his doctor. There will be no further comment.”
Lange’s substance abuse troubles have been well-known for a number of years, most recently losing his license for 7 months after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of the sleeping pill Restoril back in October.
Artie is scheduled to be back on the air on Monday, but so far, there has been no word on his return.
Don’t do drugs, kids!
