It was easy to speculate that Heather Locklear had overdosed on prescription pills and alcohol because she couldn't handle her break-up with Jack Wagner.
But looks like it might have been something a little bigger than just heart break…
According to sources, Jack and HeLo got into a violent, physical fight just days before her overdose!!!
During a visit to return belongings, the source explains:

We were terrified when we found out Heather Locklear was rushed to the hospital thanks to a lethal cocktail of alcohol and prescription drugs. Terr-i-fied!
As we discussed earlier, Heather's sister found her in a dangerous situation Thursday afternoon and immediately called 911.
Thankfully, the hospital reported that she's all good to go by Friday afternoon so phew!!
But of course, we want ALL the details possible… and all from everyone!! So we're happy to hear that her parents have commented on the matter, saying via rep:

Last night, Heather Locklear was taken to an L.A. hospital after she ingested a lethal mix of prescription drugs and alcohol. We hear that it was her sister who found Heather yesterday afternoon in "danger" and immediately called 911. Once the paramedics arrived, she was deemed worse enough condition to be hospitalized.

Heather Locklear walked the black carpet at the Breaking Dawn premiere sans her man Jack Wagner last night, but we have since learn that it was no coincidence. Turns out, the Melrose Place co-stars have called off their engagement.
Their rep has confirmed the news, but hasn't provided any rhyme or reason as to why.
Perhaps a love like theirs wasn't meant to last outside the confines of network television.

Heather Locklear and Michelle Trachtenberg have both reportedly signed up for separate CBS pilots, set to debut next fall!
In The Assistants, Heather will play a neurotic celebrity prone to violent mood swings, and her team of handlers, while in an untitled project, Michelle will portray a former mailroom worker who is promoted to a junior associate at a venture capital firm.
Excellent! We think both of these ladies are more than capable actresses, and will KILL IT in these parts!
We just hope these shows have a longer lifetime than their last two starring projects!
