Ben Stiller Sets The World Record For Longest Selfie Stick At Zoolander 2's London Premiere — See The Final Result!
Alert the presses!
The 50-year-old decided to do something that's never been done before while premiering his newest comedy Zoolander 2 in London on Thursday night.
In an effort to capture everything going on, the actor whipped out a really, really, ridiculously long selfie stick on the red carpet while everyone — including cast members Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Owen Wilson, and Penelope Cruz — posed down below.
The official Twitter account for the film posted the final result:
Turns out, it wasn't as easy as it looks!
After all, the 28-foot stick with a camera clipped in at the top end could've been hazardous if something went wrong! Stiller shared:
We can imagine — we thought our phone falling on our faces while in bed was bad!
Not to mention the wind factor:

Derek Zoolander Becomes A Ken Doll! See The Model Idiot Teach Barbie How To Blue Steel & Challenge Ken To A Walk-Off!
Derek Zoolander always looks camera ready, but the model looks really, really ridiculously good looking as a Barbie doll!
Zoolander slayed several different custom made doll outfits in the pictures, which show he and Barbie having an L.A. "staycation" together!
The two beauties get pressed juice, hike, hit up Soul Cycle, and do just about every other Instagram-able L.A. activity you can think of.
But things got cray when Derek challenged Ken to a "who wore it best" walk-off — do we sense a little competition between the two pretty boys!?
Penelope Cruz & Ben Stiller Dress Up Fancy While Owen Wilson Throws On A Confusing Sweater For Zoolander 2 In Madrid
Strike a pose!
Ben was all about that Blue Steel while Penelope kept it casual and still managed to look like a goddess.
Then there was Owen Wilson in a sweater with some sort of cave painting situation going on. Are those antelope or horses prancing around???
The sequel to Ben Stiller's model comedy Zoolander has been a long time coming and it's finally almost here!
In the new trailer for Zoolander 2 — which is disguised as a perfume ad — Derek (Stiller) is half-man, half-cow as the video also shows brief but HIGHlarious clips from the flick starring Stiller, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell and Penelope Cruz!
But the fun doesn't stop there as the movie's Instagram account shared a pic spoofing the popular Netflix docu-series Making a Murderer and depicts past and present Zoolander in Making a Modeler. Lolz!
Ch-ch-check out the new ad (above) and take a peek at the clever IG post (below) while we wait for this HIGHLY anticipated sequel to hit theaters February 12!
This will be interesting to follow!
LGBT activists are pushing back against Zoolander 2 for what they are calling controversial and cartoonish representations of transgender people in the film, most notably the character played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
And now, activists have begun an online petition — which now has more than 7,000 signatures — to boycott the film over the controversy!
Sarah Rose, the petition creator, said of the problematic issues regarding the Zoolander sequel:
Justin Bieber Gets Killed, Benedict Cumberbatch Has No Eyebrows, & That Hansel Is Still So Hot Right Now In The First Zoolander 2 Trailer!
The Zoolander 2 trailer is here — and it's really, really, ridiculously good-looking!
We finally get to see Ben Stiller reprising his hilarious role as model idiot Derek Zoolander, who is after all these years still doing the robot down the runway with model bestie Hansel (Owen Wilson)!
The years haven't been too kind to Zoolander's modeling career, until he and Hansel are enlisted by a secret agent vixen (Penelope Cruz) to stop a maniac who wants to kill the most beautiful people in the world!
Some new faces in the trailer include Justin Bieber trying to escape assassins — badly, Benedict Cumberbatch looking so hot right now as an androgynous model, and Kristen Wiig with severe plastic surgery nightmare face!
Of course, we also get to see Will Ferrell's Mugatu released from high security prison — and YES, he throws a latte in his assistant's face!
Watch the HIGHlarious trailer (above) and go see Zoolander 2 in theaters February 12, 2016!
We can't wait!
If there ever was a Ben Stiller comedy that needed a sequel — you know, other than Heavy Weights, LOLz — it's definitely 2001's hit Zoolander!
While Zoolander 2 is still a few months away from opening, we're excited with every little tidbit we learn about the flick!
