What has Vogue done to our Adele! Causing controversy yet again, Annie Leibovitz (with the help of a little Photoshop!) managed to make the British singer look, well, nothing like herself! 2009 is shaping up to be an amazing year for British songstress Adele. She picked up a Grammy a few weeks ago for Best New Artist and, come June, she'll be playing with one of her idols, Etta James, at the legendary Hollywood Bowl. Adele just announced the news on her MySpace page, saying:
We're definitely going to be at the Bowl to see Adele and we hope her co-headliner has another Beyonce fit of rage. Hopefully, Etta will tell us how she felt about Beyonce singing 'her' song at the Oscars! [Images via WENN.] Permalink / 17 comments (RSS) / Forward this post » Adele Charmed the Devil
Grammy-nominated Brit songstress Adele has succeeded where many have failed. She has found acclaim in America AND she has charmed Vogue boss Anna Wintour! Adele will be appearing in an upcoming Vogue spread shot by famed photog Annie Liebovitz, the singer reveals. At one of her fittings for the shoot, she was summoned to meet with Miz Wintour. Said Adele about the meeting:
The Vogue editor has also offered to style the Brit singing sensation for the Grammys this Sunday. Adele reveals, "I got a really nice dress. I don't ever wear dresses. I wear dresses with tights and flat shoes and a cardigan. But I am going to get my boobs out and everything. It's going to be quite a big deal." We can't wait to see the Adle/Anna collaboration! "I'm looking forward to the heat, I'm looking forward to the Grammys and I'm looking forward to In-N-Out Burger. In fact, as soon as I roll up, I'm going to get an In-N-Out burger. Then I'm going to meet Perez Hilton and have a bit of gossip." - Best New Artist Grammy nominee, Adele, on coming to the West Coast for her North American tour, to the San Jose Mercury News [Image via WENN.] Permalink / 48 comments (RSS) / Forward this post » Bangers & Mash
What would happen if the vocals and instruments of Adele's breathtaking debut album, 19, were combined with the hip-hop sensibilities of the late 1980s, considered by many hip-hop's golden age? Well, that question is answered by Mick Boogie and friends, who have released the new bootleg album 1988, which imagines what a href="http://www.myspace.com/adelelondon" target="_blank">Adele's album would have sounded like if it had been released 20 years ago. It's great! And, what's even better, U can download the whole thing for free. CLICK HERE to get your copy today! Permalink / 24 comments (RSS) / Forward this post » Like Honey
