There needs to be more Hollywood stories like this!
You may recall that after Batkid’s Oscars moment didn’t happen, Andrew Garfield met the kindergartener while he spent the day at Disneyland with his family!
Well, that’s not all he did!
Andrew also invited Batkid, aka Miles Scott, to come see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 premiere in NYC on April 24th!
It was first reported that Andrew was the one who pulled the plug on the Oscars video tribute, but it’s clear that’s not the case at all.
And we’re glad to see that there still are some real-life superheroes out there!

Spoiled milk is bad for cereal. But is cereal now guilty of spoiling movies?
We've seen a lot of previews for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and though Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield definitely seem in danger, we've managed to stay spoiler-free so far.
But 30 seconds into the Kellogg's Web-Slinging Game tie-in's first promo video, and we've been told straight up about the death of a major character!
No offense to the Oscars, but this sounds like a WAY better deal to us!
Andrew Garfield must've felt pretty bad that the planned Oscars segment he had with Batkid fell through because he drove out the very next day to hang out with the youngster and his family!
Apparently the actor who portrays Spiderman took Miles Scott and his family to Disneyland, and we're assuming they had a fabulous time together!
Here's what a rep for the Academy said:
This year's Oscars was supposed to have a touching moment for one lucky 5-year-old known all over the internet as "Batkid."
He's a 5-year-old cancer survivor and the city of San Francisco made his dream come true when they basically got the entire city to help him be Batman for a day.
More of his dreams were supposed to come true when he was set to take the stage during the Oscars!!
Andrew Garfield was going to dub him Batkid officially! Imagine being dubbed a real superhero by Spider-Man himself!
Sadly, none of that happened. It was all cut at the last minute, all because Andrew was getting a little bit too big for his britches:
Uh oh, trouble in paradise much?
Emma Stone dishes in this new featurette about how relationship issues might be on the horizon for Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man aka Andrew Garfield with an adorable American accent) and her character Gwen Stacy in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2!
Emma talks about how Gwen gets an opportunity to study at Oxford, which means going across the pond! But oh no, spiders can't cross ponds!
We wonder how Spidey will manage his love life while trying to fight off a slew of baddies from destroying NYC?
While you ponder that with all of your spidey senses, ch-ch-check out the featurette (above)!!!
Ooooooh so THIS is why they skipped out on the Oscars!
Andrew Garfield and his lovely GF, Emma Stone, were supposed to be at Sunday's awards show & were VERY noticeable no-shows, which had the world wondering why!
Did they get into a fight? Break up? Get caught in one of Spider-Man's webs?!
Well, apparently Emma had a family crisis & being the English gentleman that he is, Andrew skipped out on the show to be by her side!
How sweet of him!
Guess Spider-Man was too busy fighting crime to attend the Oscars!
Andrew Garfield was supposed to be at the star-studded show last night in Hollywood, but instead - he opted for a complete no show, with no reason.
Emma Stone's boyfyy was on the list of CONFIRMED presenters as of late, but mysteriously decided to opt out last minute!
Last week, the show's producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan even revealed he was to be a part of a very moving moment during the broadcast:
