Who knew growing up in front of reality TV cameras would make you so natural on set??
Mark Wahlberg may have been the master of ceremonies during Pope Francis' World Meeting of Families event this weekend — but he was also the master of jokes!
The Philadelphia conference was the final leg of Pope Francis' first papal visit to the U.S. and featured performances by Aretha Franklin, Andrea Bocelli, The Fray — and 14-year-old opera singer Bobby Hill!
After his performance during Sunday's event, Hill went up to the Pain & Gain star and gave him a big hug. Wahlberg then said to the crowd:
"That right there was truly the voice of an angel. But then he whispered in my ear that he loved the movie Ted, and I told him that was not appropriate for a boy of his age."
He then asked Pope Francis for forgiveness for the raunchy film — though he probably should have asked apologized for Ted 2. Ha!
See how the Pope reacted to the funny moment (below):
Well this sounds great!
The Untitled Aretha Franklin Project has been in development for years and will depict the singer's rise to stardom in the ‘60s and ‘70s as well as her relationship with her abusive ex-husband Ted White.
With what's sure to be a dramatic role with a need for some serious vocals, so who better to play the part than Jennifer Hudson!
The American Idol alum hasn't won the part yet, but one of her representatives has confirmed that
Well, all of them are marvelous but there's one pint-sized singer who is better than the rest in Aretha Franklin's eyes.
The 72-year-old singer was talking to Hoda Kotb on her satellite radio show, and the topic of people Miz Franklin would like to duet with came up.
And out of all of the new singers she chose… Ariana Grande!
Hear the interview (below) and see a video of Miz Grande covering Aretha too!
After the AH-Mazing Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary show on Sunday, guests were definitely in a party mood!
So it's only appropriate that following the star-studded event, there was an even more star-studded after-party!
Hosted by MC Jimmy Fallon, the roaring shindig, held at New York's Plaza Hotel, delighted attendees with a plethora of kickass performances!
According to an insider:
