Sometimes, life can get you down at the half way point….

Just ask humans….and apes too?!?!

Scientists have published a study stating that humans tend to be unhappiest in their 40's. This low point comes after a peak in the 20's, and before another peak in the 70's.

In the same study, zoos surveyed over 500 chimps and orangutans on happiness and shockingly, apes experience the same U-shaped happiness range.

With a little bit of cooperation and teamwork, there's a new family in the Oklahoma City Zoo!

Ruben has been hand raised ever since her mother, Rukiya, died 24 hours after giving birth to him.

His father and surrogate mother mistreated him and Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo decided Ruben needed a change of scenery.

Enter the OKC Zoo, where surrogate mom Kito and alpha male Mwami are treating their new arrival with lots of love!

We love happy endings! Congrats on your new fam, Ruben!

Sad…another case of apes on drugs…

Tori, an orangutan with a smoking habit in Indonesia has a new competitor in the disheartening practice of getting animals to act like humans.

A BABY chimp is now an alcoholic, thanks to people letting it drink beer on a regular basis.

We remind you, this is a BABY chimp!

And when you "try" to take the booze away from the little one, it goes ape shiz…

Two chimpanzees escaped their home and rampaged through their Las Vegas neighborhood.

Now, five chimps have escaped from the Hannover Zoo in Germany, terrfying patrons along the way.

No one knows how the chimps cheesed it yet, but a 5 year old girl was knocked down by one of the rampaging chimps.

Luckily, she walked away with only minor cuts on her face.

A Las Vegas police officer was forced to kill a male chimp after it escaped from its cage Thursday morning.

The male, along with a female chimp, sprang free from their residence and began rampaging throughout the neighborhood

So sad….

As previously reported, an American tour guide suffered a gruesome attack at the Jane Goodall Institute in South Africa.

Now, after six hours of surgery, he has been placed into a medically induced coma.
