Claire Danes has been named Woman of the Year by Hasty Pudding Theatricals. Previous winners include Julianne Moore, Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway and Halle Berry.
Known for its fabulous burlesque shows, the Hasty Pudding Theatricals will have a parade led by Claire before she receives her award later that afternoon.
2012 has been very kind to Danes; she scored her third Golden Globe with Showtime's Homeland and she gets to lead a parade full of fabulous divas!!!
Lucky!
Claire will make the trip to Cambridge on January 26th.
There's not place like Homeland!
After the show grabbed the honor of winning Best Drama, Homeland's star Claire Danes won the award for Best Actress In A Drama Series. In her speech, she regaled that she walked away with this award once before when she was 15 for My So Called Life and made sure she thanked her parents, who she missed the last time.
How nice she got a second change to pay tribute to them. My, how time has passed since she was Angela Chase!

Homeland, Claire Danes' new show on Showtime, just walked away with one of the biggest awards for the night - Best Drama Series!
Such an achievement on their freshman year out! Congrats!
After breaking records with its premiere week, Homeland has only risen from there.
So naturally, the Claire Danes hit is getting a second season!
If you're thinking about getting in on the action but wanna know more, it's a story surrounding a marine and a CIA agent. The marine finally returns home after being missing for eight years. The CIA agent (Claire) suspects he's involved in a major terrorist attack to hit the States. Drama ensues.

It's certainly been a while, but Claire Danes has a hit!
Her new Showtime series, Homeland, delivered the network's highest-rated drama premiere in eight years, outperforming The Borgias and Shameless with 1.08 million viewers last night!
Wow! Impressive!

Both Claire Danes and James Marsden are pretty young. So young, that just a few years ago, people probably would have laughed if you suggested that they'd be playing mom and dad to a teenage daughter.
But that's what they're doing in As Cool As I Am, the adaptation of Pete Fromm's coming-of-age novel about a teenage girl, her troubled mother, and her often-absent father.
The daughter has yet to be cast, so, it'll be interesting to see who will be chosen to play her. Knowing Hollywood, she probably won't be anywhere near the character's real age, which is around 15.
This definitely has nothing to do with their acting abilities, because we def think that both Claire and James can pull off the duties and nail the parts — they're both extremely talented.
It just kinda weirds us out that we're to the point where they can legitimately play a couple with a teenage daughter!
