Colin Farrell To Be Best Man In Gay Brother's Nuptials

2295768farrell.jpg

The next role Colin Farrell is about tackle?

Playing best man in his gay brother's wedding!

Now that's what we like to hear!

Colin's brother, Eamon Farrell, is tying the knot to longtime partner Steven Mannion in Europe later this summer and picked his baby brother to stand beside him at the alter.

Sadly, Eamon is unable to get married in his home country of Ireland. "We have to get married abroad. It's absolutely terrible. We have to go somewhere legal, which narrows it down to about five countries," the elder Farrell brother lamented to reporters.

It's only a matter of time!

Colin Farrell Is Up To His Old Tricks

wenn-colin-farrell.jpg

Colin Farrell, who's been in hiding for some time now, re-emerged Thursday night in Los Angeles with a mystery blonde in tow.

Trying to leave Koi in secrecy, he utilized the restaurant's VIP parking.

But ,our question is…if Colin was trying to avoid the paps, then why did he go to one of their favorite hunting grounds?

Who's the lady?

And couldn't he have gotten a car wash in the VIP garage?

Colin Farrell Says He's Given Up Booze, We Say "Colin Who?"

snoozefest.jpg

Colin Farrell is saying that after years as Hollywood's bad boy, he's ready to live the quiet life.

Which is Hollywood speak for "No one cares about me anymore."

He says that at the tender age of 22, he came into the Hollywood rock star lifestyle with guns blazing, drinking and womanizing and swearing and fighting. But he admits that the "the trip got a little bit out of hand for me, so I just stepped back."

"All the madness and chaos, and all the people around me got so tiring after a while that I had to find another way."

That other way is a "blissfully quiet" life free of alcohol. And while the actor admits he isn't "monk-like," he has a new appreciation for "solitude that would have terrified me years ago."

His hair is grown out for a recent role in a mermaid movie called Ondine. The film has just wrapped.

Great, now cut that nasty hair off.

Right now he has a movie out called Pride and Glory, which recounts the personal and professional of New York police officers through three generations. He and co-star Ed Norton researched for the role by actually working with real police officers, whom they found "generous with their experiences."

So the Irish wild child has finally settled down, saying, "Five years ago, if I’d looked at the life I live now I would have said, 'God, he’s so boring!'"

He must have read our minds!

Cut Your Hair, Pretty Please?!!!

On Tuesday, Colin Farrell was at the Rome Film Festival for a screening of his new flick, Pride and Glory.

Let's blame his hair for the movie's shitty performance in the U.S. box office this past weekend.

He's had this look for a while now.

OVER IT!

Touching Tribute

matilda1.jpg

This brought a tear to our eye and softened our callous heart!

According to the UK's The Sun, the three Hollywood stars who completed Heath Ledger's final film role have donated their pay to his two-year-old daughter, Matilda.

Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell were worried for Matilda’s future as Heath left an old will which did not include the little one.

Heath's dad, Kim Ledger, is in control of Heath's estate. Family members have said they're concerned that daddy will mismanage the actor's money.

The three played versions of Heath's character, Tim, in fantasy epic The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.

Film director Terry Gilliam said, “They didn’t take money — it goes to Heath’s daughter. That’s extraordinary! And wonderful . . . and when you’re part of that, you think, ‘Ah, this is maybe why I went into the movies in the beginning. I thought it would be full of wonderful people. And we’ve got a movie full of wonderful people who did extraordinary things to help.”

Johnny Depp is a father of two, Jude Law has four and Colin Farrel has a son.

We love it. Dads looking out for one another!

Getting All "Method"

cf.jpg

Yes, that really is Colin Farrell!

The Irish actor embraced his inner manorexic for his latest role.

Colin has dropped the pounds to play a war photographer in the movie Triage.

That doesn't look very healthy, though.

Be careful! Fool.

Colin's Secret Confession

wenn5009412.jpg

He may be about as appealing as a sperm milkshake, but we have to applaud Colin Farrell for coming forward and speaking publicly about his son with special needs.

Little James Farrell is 4 years old and suffers from a rare form of cerebral palsy called Angelman Syndrome*.

Despite the heartbreak the syndrome has caused he said that he is “incredibly blessed to have him in my life” and told of his joy when James recently took his first steps.

He said that his son had shown “amazing courage” in the first four years of his life and that he is an “incredibly happy boy” despite his condition.

Colin – who has starred in such movies as Miami Vice and Phone Booth – said that James has “enriched” his life “incredibly.”

And he said that he is dedicated to helping his son reach his own “individual potential” and to be “as happy as he can be.”

”With my son the only time I'm reminded that there is something different about him – that he has some deviation of what is perceived to be normal – is when I see him with other four-year-olds.

“Then I go “oh yeah” and it comes back to me. But from day one I felt that he's the way he's meant to be.”

The actor spoke with pride about the barriers his son has overcome in the first four years of his life – and paid tribute to his exgirlfriend Kim for being proactive in getting James the early intervention he needs.

“He took his first steps about six weeks ago and it was four years in the making. All the work is his, he worked his arse off for four years.”

“And when he took the first steps it was incredibly emotional, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.”

He's broken that barrier and its all about building on that now.

“I have never thought of my son as being someone with a disability. It goes back to special needs and what is a disability and what isn't”.

*Angelman Syndrome (AS) is a rare neuro-genetic disorder named after a British paediatrician, Dr. Harry Angelman, who first described the syndrome in 1965.[1] A syndrome is a collection of features which occur together as a group and indicate a particular condition. AS is characterised by intellectual and developmental delay, speech impediment, sleep disturbance, unstable jerky gait, seizures, hand flapping movements, frequent laughter/smiling and usually a happy demeanour.
