Whether or not they hooked up, Drake Bell and Amanda Bynes are totez bestiez — at least according to Drake.

While the world questions every step Amanda takes thanks to some VERY questionable behavior, her former Nickelodeon co-star insists that his apparent BFF's recent arrest, bizarre Twitter rants, and obsession with beauty is all thanks to the media's negative attention and NOT poor mental health.

YUP.

Actually, Drake swears he just had lunch with his "close" friend and vows that "she's brilliant, she's good, and she's healthy."

The Splash star defended her by saying:

And now that she's done calling Rihanna "ugly", she’s become nothing but affectionate!

Drake Bell, whom Amanda previously claimed to hook up with before adamantly denying it, recently tweeted at Amanda. Gurl responded with an affectionate "ily", which we assume she knows means “I love you”.

They worked on The Amanda Show together for a WHOLE three years as teens with (we're sure) RAGING hormones.

But as always when it comes to the seemingly troubled starlet, shiz got weird AND fast.

Amanda refuses to admit that she EVER claimed to hook up with the fellow Nickelodeon alum even though she posted the scandalous tweet for all to see!

On May 4, the former child star temporarily tweeted:

Last night, the three finalists, Rory Bushfield, Drake Bell and Nicole Eggert dove one last time, and although they all did a spectacular job, only one came out winning.

However, Drake apparently hadn't had his full share of death threats yet, because over the weekend, he started up again…and with a vengeance!
