The most anticipated series of the fall just landed itself a diva for a story arc, though it wasn't the exact diva they were hoping for.

The producers of the new Fox show Glee were looking to fill the role of a " no-nonsense girls' choir director from a rival school." Their first choice was none other than the highly awaited comeback queen, Whitney Houston. However, Houston turned it down - she's busy - so next in line to fill the spot was R&B babe Eve.

We think this is a good move for Eve. The show has already snagged a slew of other names to guest star, like Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Groban.

Very smart producers!

Rapper Eve has got this election under her thumb.

Or, rather, on her thumb.

At the oh-so-fancy opening party for Mobile Art: Chanel Contemporary Art Container in Central Park last night, everyone was dressed to the nines, sporting stylish accessories.

But, the best probably had to be Eve's thumbnail, decorated with a portrait of Barack Obama.

She obviously gives him a thumbs up!

Eve performed at the Herbal Essences' Great Escape to the VMAs party at the Palms on Friday night.

Saturday, the rapper took off the ankle monitoring bracelet that she's been wearing for the last 45 days and Perez got it all on tape for our big Vh1 special on Tuesday!
