Thanks to Hallmark and the American Humane Association, recognition will be given to 'thousands of specially trained dogs giving comfort to people every day' on November 11.
Utilizing celebrities as judges, the AHA will host a televised contest which will award the best of the best with their very own red carpet gala in Beverly Hills.
So not only with this be an unbearably cute event, it will be a star-studded one too!
The celebs will judge in eight categories: law enforcement and arson dogs; service dogs; therapy dogs; military dogs; guide dogs; search and rescue dogs; hearing dogs, and emerging hero dogs for every day pets who do extraordinary things.
And what award show would be complete without honoring a very special
person pet with tribute for their life achievement?
Rin Tin Tin, a WW1 rescue pup who later became an American movie star, will be given the show's legacy award. Accepting his award will be one of his grandpups.
It's sure to be a special event, so make sure you tune in to the Hallmark Channel on November 11 to catch the awards!

Thanks to his Beginners co-star, Ewan McGregor is now totally obsessed with dogs.
Cosmo, a Jack Russell terrier who made his movie debut in Hotel for Dogs plays Ewan's dog Arthur in the film.
Cosmo's trainer, Mathilde de Cagny, reveals Ewan totally fell in love with his dog. Mathilde added:
"I rarely encounter actors that are so taken by their co-stars. A lot of actors like dogs, and they're happy to be in scenes with them, but they won't go out of their way to have this relationship with them. Ewan did right away."
McGregor so took to Cosmo, who is "cuddly" for a Jack Russell as well as loving and people-oriented, that he asked Cagny if she would be willing to let Cosmo come home with him. De Cagny couldn't part with Cosmo, so the day after McGregor finished shooting the film, he went to a shelter and adopted a dog.
"He literally didn't go anywhere without a dog since the movie," de Cagny says. "It's extra fulfilling, the feeling, when you have an actor that takes onto an animal so much."
