This sounds like something out of a horror story but it's true…
In Central Park in NYC, snakehead fish sightings have been on the rise near Harlem Meer.
The snakehead is a total monster because they can grow to three feet long, have big, sharp teeth and can survive outside of water for days!!
Yup! That means you aren't safe anywhere!
The New York Department of Environmental Conservation issued a statement that literally said:
Captain Phil Harris was one of the stars of Discovery's Deadliest Catch.
He was captain of the Cornelia Marie, where he fished with his sons Josh and Jake Harris.
Phil's death was documented on the show after he suffered a stroke on air.
Captain Phil was a man living on borrowed time.
His life was built around drugs, sex and violence.
Omg! That is so creepy!!
There's a fish called the Sheepshead fish and they're a little different from other fish.
Because they have teeth just like people do!! It's super weird!
What's gross is they have a crazy three rows of molars on their upper jaw and two rows of teeth on the bottom!
A man caught one of these strange fish and it had some pretty huge teeth on it!
We would've thrown it back right away because those are some serious chompers.
Check out the video (above) to see one creeeepy fish!!
Ever hear those stories about giant crocodiles living in the sewers of New York City??
The myth says that people get them as exotic pets, but when they start to get too big, they flush them down the toilet.
That's all just a myth, as far as we know, but it's the same principal that's leading to giant goldfish in lake Tahoe!!
Apparently people must be dumping their goldfish into the lake when they don't want them anymore.
Because of all the open space and a steady supply of food, the goldfish are growing to monstrous proportions.
Some of them have almost reached 1.5 feet long!!
They are thriving and breeding rapidly, and experts worry that it may drastically change the ecosystem of the lake.
Check out the video (above) to hear how they could seriously affect the lake!
Joaquin Phoenix is a vegan and a big fighter for animal rights.
One thing that many people don't think about is how our non-plant food is actually killed.
No, we're not talking about slaughter houses… we're talking about fish!
All over the world, tons of fish are pulled from the ocean every day and suffocate outside of the water in a traumatic death.
Joaquin can related, having learned about this cruelty from a young age, saying:
In a new study at Italy's University of Padua, they found that male guppies would rather hang around less attractive males when in the presence of females!
This sounds like something that humans could use to their advantage. Ha!
What the researchers did was
Awww….we've never seen anything so ADORBz and inspirational!!!
A goldfish who is prone to flipping has received her very own wheelchair, keeping her balanced and looking better than any fish in a tank EVA!
