Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl and her husband enjoy cigarettes and sunshine during a romantical Mexican getaway this past weekend.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in both women and men in the United States and throughout the world. Lung cancer has surpassed breast cancer as the leading cause of cancer deaths in women. In the United States in 2007, 160,390 people were projected to die from lung cancer, which is more than the number of deaths from colorectal, breast, and prostate cancer combined. Only about 2% of those diagnosed with lung cancer that has spread to other areas of the body are alive five years after the diagnosis, although the survival rates for lung cancers diagnosed at a very early stage are higher, with approximately 49% surviving for five years or longer.

Emphysema is a long-term, progressive disease of the lung that primarily causes shortness of breath. In people with emphysema, the lung tissues necessary to support the physical shape and function of the lung are destroyed. It is included in a group of diseases called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD (pulmonary refers to the lungs). Emphysema is called an obstructive lung disease because the destruction of lung tissue around smaller airways, called bronchioles, makes these airways unable to hold their shape properly when you exhale.

Lindsay Lohan chose not to enter the Emmy race for her Ugly Betty guest stint.

But, unlike Heigl she didn't slam writers or a TV show.

La Lohan's rep said she didn't submit herself for contention in the guest race because "the appearance was brief. We made a decision to wait."

True, true. It was short!

Word is that Mary-Kate Olsen put herself up for her guest appearance on Weeds. We didn't see MKO do her thing.

Deserved or not?

AND, our favorite Vanity Fair cover girl Miley Cyrus has thrown her hat into the ring for best lead actress in a comedy series.

Say what, right?

Hannah Montana going up against the Tina Feys of the world? Ha ha!!

We never thought we'd say this…but, Miley. You should've been more like Lindsay. Wait ’til the right time!

Even though she's too high on her own horse these days, Katherine Heigl is style quite fashionable.

The Grey's Anatomy star rocked a pink metallic bikini while on vacation in Mexico this weekend.

Hot swimsuit? Check. Keeping hydrated? Check. Hat to block the dangerous rays of the sun? Check.

Plus, she's got no cigarette in hand.

Good all around!

The folks at Grey's Anatomy are pissed off about Katherine Heigl's Emmy brouhaha!

An insider tells Entertainment Weekly, “The show bent over backwards to accommodate her film schedule, and then she criticizes the show for lack of material? It's an ungrateful slap in the face to the very writers responsible for her Emmy win in the first place.”

Bitter relationships aren't productive.

No one is ever happy!

Why don't they just part ways?

Heigl obviously wants to leave the show! Ingrate!

An actor that doesn't want an award???

Shocking!!!

The LA Times says that when Grey's Anatomy's Katherine Heigl was asked why her name is not on the TV academy's list of Emmy contenders, she issued this statement:

I am truly grateful for the honor that the Academy bestowed upon me last year. I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the Academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention. In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.

Some have said that Heigl's right on — her Grey's material did suck this year.

We don't watch the show. We wanna know…is she right and was this an 'honorable' thing for her to do cuz it leaves the field open to more 'deserving' actresses?

But, if she did have shitty material, was it right for her to call out the writers and show suits like she did?

Another theory is that she just forgot to submit her name for Emmy contention and she didn't want to admit it.

Does she think she's above the Emmys????

Katherine Heigl has signed on to star in a film about polygamy.

Smart? Not smart?

It'd definitely not a romantic comedy!

But, the Grey's Anatomy star isn't just acting in the film. She's also producing.

Time to check out of the hospital!

A source close to Katherine Heigl reveals that the actress wants out of her Grey's Anatomy contract.

The insider says, “She's working really long hours and is ready to move on.”

Heigl doesn't really 'need' Grey's anymore, right? She has proven that she's a movie star. Hiegl-fronted flicks Knocked Up and 27 Dresses were box office gold.

A movie industry expert is quoted as saying, “She’s a smart one. She saw what can happen with someone like Jennifer Aniston, who was crazy successful on TV, but can’t seem to carry a film, and she tested the waters early.”

Unfortunately, Heigl probably won't get what she wants says the source — she's locked in to her Grey's contract.

We assume they're right! ABC and its parent company, Disney, aren't the kind of people who'll let a cash cow walk away so easily!

Moooooooooo!!!!!! Milk her!
