The third season of Girls has had a couple hiccups already. Mainly the departure of Christopher Abbott, who portrayed fan favorite Charlie.

But that’s not getting in the way of filming. In fact, Lena Dunham looks like she knows exactly what she’s doing. Caught on location in New York City yesterday, Lena stayed behind the camera while Zosia Mamet and Jemima Kirke filmed a scene for the show.

Punk is NOT dead — not yet!!

The theme for this year's 2013 Met Gala was punk-friggin'-tastic, but some celebz obviously never grasped the concept!!

The super preggo Kim Kardashian, for instance, said she was shooting for "romantic punk" with her look!

Kristen Stewart, on the other hand, loves the punk scene so much she played Joan Jett in The Runaways!

And Lena Dunham? Well, the Girls' star's dog ate a PIN during her fitting, which is the most punk rock thing ever!

It's not the most hideous fashion flop!

But Lena Dunham's punk-style — a custom Erdem dress — at the Met Gala left us wondering what punk meant!

With some frills and lace up top, Lena once again marched to the beat of her own fashion drum.

Paired with minimal accessories, this is a punk that's gone plop.

If we're looking for silver linings, at least her hair and makeup look pretty fab…

…and that's a start!

We haven’t heard a whole lost from these ladies since the departure of our beloved Charlie (Christopher Abbott), but HBO’s Girls are back to work!

Lena Dunham, Allison Williams and Jemima Kirke hit the streets of New York City yesterday to continue filming the show’s third season.

While Allison was hiding under her monochrome umbrella, Jemima turned the cameras onto the papz as she smoked a cigarette in true British fashion. Her iPhone cover also sported a Vladimir Putin cover referencing the Pussy Riot scandal.

Oh, Jemima. Just as rebellious as Jessa, we see.

The TIME 100 Gala, celebrating TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, was host to a myriad of celebs last night.

The “influential” bunch arrived at the Lincoln Center donning some of their best and worst dresses, strutting down the red carpet before heading inside.

Guests included Lena Dunham, Claire Danes, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Olivia Munn and many more.

Of course, power couple Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel attended too!

One of these days Lena Dunham will hire a stylist who will do wonders for her, but sadly, Tuesday wasn’t that day.

Instead of wearing something flattering to the TIME 100 Gala, the GIRLS writer slash actress wore a sparkly gold Saint Laurent dress that was wrong in every aspect.

The frock makes it look like she's trying to be young and cute, it doesn't do her any favors in the chestal region and those shoes are just dreadful.

Better luck next time, Lena.
