When it rains, it pours, unfortunately!

After Cecil the lion's death swept across the Internet last week, and his brother Jericho's near-death was front and center this past weekend, now we are getting word that yet another American doctor — this time, a gynecologist from Pennsylvania — has killed a lion in Zimbabwe without a permit.

Back in April, doctor Jan Casmir Seski of Pennsylvania traveled to Zimbabwe, where he took part in a hunt headed by a safari organizer named Headman Sibanda. Sibanda was one of the men arrested in a crackdown following Cecil's death at the hands of Dr. Walter Palmer, and his involvement with Seski is just now coming to light.

Caroline Washaya-Moyo, the head of Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, said in a statement referencing Seski's hunt a few months ago:

While Cecil the lion may have unfortunately rocketed to fame after being killed illegally by an American hunter, his brother Jericho has a security detail to ensure that won't happen to him, too.

According to reports, officials from the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force are monitoring and tracking Jericho around the clock to ensure nothing suspicious happens to him with regards to poachers.

Apparently, Jericho is now the alpha male for Cecil's pride of lions, and should the remaining brother be killed, too, that pride would be left unprotected in the wild — a dangerous situation in the animal kingdom.

So while the report that came to light Sunday over Jericho's death was thankfully incorrect, it appears Zimbabwean officials still aren't taking any chances with this lion.

Insiders reveal that Jericho was gunned down in Huwange National Park just days after his brother was cruelly killed by dentist, Walter Palmer. A spokesperson for the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force said:

"It is with great sadness and regret that we report that Jericho was shot dead … We are absolutely heartbroken."

WHAT. How did this even happen?!

What makes this situation even worse is that Jericho was in charge of taking care of Cecil's cubs who are now in danger without the presence of a male lion.

Ugh! We're so sickened!

It seems like Dr. Walter Palmer might be in some legal hot water after all!

That's because the dentist — infamous for killing Cecil, a famous and well-liked lion, during a hunt in Zimbabwe in July — contacted the US Fish And Wildlife Service offices last this week!
