One of the biggest stories of the summer may have finally come to a conclusion.

Walter Palmer, the infamous dentist at the center of the Cecil the lion killing back in Zimbabwe earlier this summer, has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the hunt.

Zimbabwe's Environmental Minister announced on Monday that Palmer was not doing anything illegal when he killed Cecil, and that the Minnesota dentist's papers were in order before the hunt began.

This comes after Zimbabwe officials had earlier hinted they wanted to potentially extradite Palmer back to the African nation to face charges over the hunt — but now, after being cleared by the government, it would seem a potential extradition obviously won't come.

What do U think — did Zimbabwe make the right call on Palmer? Or does he need to face punishment for killing a well-known lion in the manner he did??

Is This The Last We Will Hear Of Dr. Walter Palmer??

Are you a dog person or a cat person?!

Well for Ed Sheeran, Kesha, and Justin Bieber we think we know the answer — since they all have TATTOOS of felines on their bodies. LOVES it!

In fact Taylor Swift's bestie caused quite the stir this summer when he pranked us not once but TWICE about whether or not his giant, new lion tattoo on his chest was real. What a jokester!

We can only imagine how painful getting that ink must've been. Ouchie!

Though, Ed's large design is impressive — it isn't the only cat-themed ink that's shocked Hollywood.

Don't believe us?!

After receiving a ton of heat, the Minnesota dentist went into hiding — until now!

In his first interview since the hunt, Palmer announced Sunday night that he would be returning to his practice later this week! He said:

"I have a lot of staff members, and I'm a little heartbroken at the disruption in their lives, And I'm a health professional. I need to get back to my staff and my patients, and they want me back. That's why I'm back."

Palmer made it clear the 25-minute interview would be his only media appearance. Though he reportedly refused to answer most of the questions regarding the hunt, he did admit:

"If I had known this lion had a name and was important to the country or a study obviously I wouldn't have taken it."

When asked about why he went into hiding for so long, the dentist denied that he ever went in hiding in the first place! He added:

Zimbabwe Finally Charges Those Involved In Cecil The Lion's Death!

Before we get your hopes up, no, it's not the dentist. But at least someone is paying for the vicious slaying!

Cecil the Lion has led to one of the most controversial stories of the year when he was shot and killed by Dr. Walter Palmer in Zimbabwe last month, but it seems like he's finally getting some justice.

That's because Zimbabwean prosecutors charged Honest Ndlovu, the man who owned the land where Cecil was killed, for allowing an illegal hunt on his land on Tuesday.

Honest's role in Cecil's death could get him either a year in jail or a $400 fine, while Theo Bronkhorst, another hunter who aided Dr. Palmer in the tracking, has also been charged for failing to stop the illegal hunt.

And while it looks like Dr. Palmer will never face any legal ramifications for his part in the murder, hopefully his reputation will negatively affect his role in his recently reopened dentistry practice.

If anything, at least Cecil's death has led to tougher hunting regulations for lions, elephants, and leopards in the area.

Rest in peace, Cecil.
