Madonna may be one of the world's biggest pop stars, but even she wasn't exempt from some "uncomfortable" questioning while she petitioned to adopt her twin daughters, Estere and Stelle, from Malawi. Hot damn!
According to the Associated Press, Judge Fiona Mwale made Madge jump through some hoops before she could bring the little girls home with her. On why she approved the Like A Prayer singer's adoption paperwork, the judge explained:
OMG, these girls (above) could very well be the twins Madonna recently adopted from Malawi!
Madge's eldest child Lourdes Leon was photographed with twins Stella and Esther from the Home of Hope orphanage seven months ago during a visit to the country, and the pic was posted with the caption:
"3 Beauties! 💘 Lola spends time with twins, Stella and Esther at Home of Hope Orphanage"
We wouldn't think much of it except that multiple news outlets, including The Guardian, E! News, and yours truly, reported that the adopted twins are named Stella and Esther! And they were adopted from the Home of Hope orphanage!!!
According to a court official in Lilongwe, Madonnahas adopted two four-year-old twin girls from Malawi on Tuesday!
You might remember the songstress denied such claims she was adopting only a couple weeks ago, saying she was only in Malawi to check in on her foundation Raising Malawi and visit the children's hospital in Blantyre.
Fans are labeling the Put It On Me singer's Fyre Festival a total hoax as the "luxurious" getaway in the Bahamas is not living up to expectations. Reports of chaos at the fest began trickling in on Thursday, when ticket-holders arrived at (what appeared to be) an unfinished campsite. Apparently, the upscale "cabanas" promised to the attendees were actually just disaster relief tents.
