Nicollette Sheridan Amends Desperate Lawsuit!

nicollettewenn5443675.jpg

Not by much, but the additions are pretty revealing.

Last April, Nicollette Sheridan filed a lawsuit against Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry on charges of wrongful termination, assault and battery, and discrimination. The claim is seeking $20 million from Marc Cherry and the ABC network, but this week, there were some amendments to the lawsuit.

When the news of this lawsuit first broke, ABC quickly and swiftly responded to Nicollette's claims by releasing a statement in which they said:

"We investigated similar claims last year by Ms. Sheridan and found them to be without merit."

Marc and ABC execs reportedly told others that the "incident" in which Marc smacked Nicollette was merely a rehearsal of a scene involving a slap.

The new amendments to Nicollette's lawsuit confirm that this was the exact excuse that ABC gave her when she asked them to look into her complaint. The response she got from Executive Vice President of ABC Studios, Howard Davine, said that "Marc (Cherry) simply gave her a light tap on the side of her head for the sole purpose of providing direction for a scene they were rehearsing."

Right, because you were there!

Then, ABC decided to take no further action and close the investigation, informing Nicollette that "we will finish off the season in the spirit of professionalism and courtesy that has been the normal course for Desperate Housewives."

She was fired two months after that. So much for professionalism.

On top of that, the studio insisted that she put on a happy face and talk to the press as if nothing had happened to force her departure behind the scenes, which is why it took her this long to come forward about her mistreatment.

If it's all true, we hope she nails them and nails them good! But it is a "he said, she said" kind of case and the only way for her to win, we think, is if one of the other ladies comes forward to defend her.

Do the right thing, ladies! Let's see what kind of loyalty you have towards one another!

ABC Wants To Settle With Nicollette Out Of Court!

dh__optjb1.jpg

This sounds pretty shady to us!

ABC execs are reportedly willing to give Nicollette Sheridan what they're calling a "peace package" to sway her from going forward with her $20 million wrongful termination lawsuit against her Desperate Housewives boss, Marc Cherry!

Apparently, Sheridan's lawyers have made it clear that they will subpoena the cast and crew of the hit series to give evidence in favor of the actress if the case does go to court, and the network desperately does not want that to happen!

We wonder why! What are you guys afraid will come out if people have to testify under oath?

According to a source:

"Our legal team is working to get both sides together to see if they can help broker a compromise. This doesn't mean that anyone is going to hand Nicollette $20 million to drop her action and walk away but there are various incentives that might be put on the table."

What do U think?? Will Nicollette settle or is this only going to get uglier in court??

Housewives Stars Respond! They All Side With Marc Cherry!

wenn1649530jb__optjb.jpg

Uh-oh! The Housewives have chosen a very clear side!

So much for Switzerland!

Amidst the nasty lawsuit Nicollette Sheridan filed against her former boss, Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, the other four ladies of the hit series - Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria Parker, Marcia Cross, and Felicity Huffman - have broken their silence and released this joint statement yesterday:

"It would be irresponsible of us to let the public believe that being a part of this show from its inception has been anything but a blessing. We have no first-hand knowledge of what Nicollette may or may not have experienced, but we would never characterize our set as a hostile environment. It is, in fact, the opposite. The friendships and support that Marc Cherry, the cast, the crew and the producers have shared for the past six years have made this a wonderful job that we are grateful for every day."

Teri Hatcher also decided to clear the air personally due to a claim made in Sheridan's suit that alleges Marc Cherry said, "I hope Teri Hatcher gets hit by a car and dies."

She states:

"I'm honored to stand with Eva, Felicity and Marcia, as a group and clarify that our set environment is nothing less than an amazingly positive experience. I have never felt discriminated against. In fact, I have felt heard and respected by Marc and other executives in regards to both my professional and personal needs."

Well, this certainly puts a spin on Edie's stories!

What do U think?? Do U think the Housewives are being truthful or do U think they're just trying to keep their jobs??

New Couple Alert!

marlabolton.jpg

According to In Touch Weekly, singer Michael Bolton and Donald Trump's ex Marla Maples are an item!

The two dated years ago, but they reconnected shortly after his engagement with Nicollette ended.

"Michael asked Marla to join him on tour in Canada, so she flew up there in April," claims an insider. "They are very into each other, and it could lead to marriage. He's also helping her with her music career."

Cute. Just hope The Donald won't get too angry!

Eva Speaks About Nicollette's Lawsuit!

elmcelnsjb.jpg

Smart move, lady! Play the Switzerland card!

Eva Longoria Parker made an appearance On Air With Ryan Seacrest this morning, and somehow managed to remain completely neutral when discussing her former Desperate Housewives co-star Nicollette Sheridan's lawsuit against creator Marc Cherry.

She said:

"I'm really confused about this whole thing. I would love to see her to find out if everything's okay. I know they did have a thing on set, I guess it was a couple years ago. I wasn't on set when it happened but apparently this incident had happened and she felt it was wrong…honestly I wish I knew. I love the show so much, I would hate for anything tarnish the reputation of the show."

She also asserted that Cherry "probably could not harm a fly."

HA. But he 'probably' could smack an Edie up!

What do U think?? Is Eva playing dumb or do U think she really has no idea what's going on??

The Housewives Are On Team Edie!!

wenn1649530jb.jpg

As Nicollette Sheridan's $20 million lawsuit against her former Desperate Housewives boss Marc Cherry rages on, the actress's former castmembers - Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria Parker, Felicity Huffman, and Marcia Cross - are apparently siding with her, but trying to keep that fun little fact on the DL!

We understand why - that show is still a ca$h cow! They don't want to be killed off, too!!

A source claims:

"Marc can sometimes think he's being funny, but he really just comes off as arrogant and rude. But the women mostly put up with it. He's considered a genius at what he does, and it kind of just comes with the territory. Sometimes Teri doesn't appreciate Marc's 'humor,' but that doesn't mean she's going to get involved with this mess anytime soon. There are some people who think Nicollette's claims may be exaggerated, but there are others who think Marc could be capable of such an outrage. They're all silently behind her, but the actresses on the show enjoy the fame and success that Marc has created for them. It's unlikely that anyone will step forward to support Nicollette - their characters are all still alive on the show, and they have a lot more to lose than she does."

This guy sounds like a nightmare.

We think that we're only at the tip of the iceberg, and that there's going to be a whole lot more crazy coming out soon!!

Thoughts??

Insiders Spill On Marc Cherry's 'Crazy Temper'

dh__optjb.jpg

We had a feeling that there could be some truth to this!

We reported earlier that Nicollette Sheridan is pressing charges against her former boss, Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, alleging that he was emotionally abusive during her time as the vixen Edie on the hit show, once even going as far to hit her across the face!

While ABC has asserted that the claims are "without merit," insiders are beginning to come out of the woodwork with descriptions of Cherry that do not paint him in the most positive of lights.

A source says:

"He has a crazy temper and is often not logical. He feels he doesn't have to answer to anyone."

Frankly, this guy sounds like a dick!

Something tells us it's only a matter of time before more accusations start to fly!

What do U think?? Team Marc or Team Edie??

Nicollette Speaks Out!

dh__opt1.jpg

After filing a $20 million lawsuit against Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry for wrongful termination, gender violence and assault and battery, Nicollette Sheridan is defending her position.

Her reps released the following statement.

Sheridan's legal team said:

Nicollette worked very hard on the show and was a model employee. Mr. Cherry's behavior towards Nicollette was and is nothing short of abusive and appalling. The lawsuit is not something Nicollette wanted to do, it's something she felt compelled to do. Nicollette asked ABC for help and protection from Mr. Cherry's abusive behavior, and ultimately, ABC was not willing or able to provide that protection. Sometimes the only way that a safe and normal work environment can be created is when a hard-working person like Nicollette stands up for herself and her rights, and in doing so help protect others who have had to work in a hostile environment. We expect the case to be hard fought, and it will not be a surprise if ABC and Mr. Cherry try to depict Nicollette to be something other than a team player and long-standing industry professional. She put her heart and soul into the role of the Edie character, a character that she truly enjoyed playing.

Shocking!
