Well, we can't say we're surprised!
In an interview with E! News, the Danity Kane alum shared:
Ouch! This has got to be awkward!
We last saw Nikki Blonsky as the main character in the short-lived ABC Family series Huge last summer, but apparently, the actress has taken a hiatus from the entertainment business…to work behind the register at a high-end shoe boutique in Great Neck, NY called Steven Dann!
According to sources:
"Steven says she's one of the best employees he's ever had! Nikki had known Steven for a long time. When she started her career she got shoes, bags and accessories from the store for red carpets but recently approached him about working at the store. So it was done. Customers come in and see her and ask, 'Oh my God! What are you doing here? Are you shopping?', and she laughs and says, 'No, I'm working!' It's a little uncomfortable for [Nikki] obviously, but the customer will ask her to sign her autograph on the receipt and she does. She's really sweet to the little kids that come in the store. She even sings and dances for the customers, busting out the tunes from Hairspray! She's supposedly working on a project that will catapult her career, something bigger than Hairspray."
Wow! Well, we have to give her credit for keeping a positive attitude about the whole thing!
We're sure it can't be easy to go from being GIVEN high-end shiz to having to sell it!
Hopefully at some point we'll see her again on the silver screen!
But for now - hope you don't have to deal with two many sweaty feet this summer, gurl!

Hairspray's Nikki Blonsky and parents, Carl and Karen are being sued by their lawyer Michael J. Griffith who is claiming that the family owes him $23,534 for representing them during their airport brawl with ANTM contestant Bianca Golden.
What is going on with this family??
Nikki needs another job ASAP so that someone can pay the bills!

Besides popping out 8 kids, what has she done to validate this behavior?!
"Before she got there, it was very diva-esque," said stage manager Kari Hoffman.
Although this was for charity, Kate demanded that the Heritage Foundation of 9/11 foot the bill for transportation from Washington D.C. to Danbury - a 5 hour trek!
One of the skater's mothers offered to pick up Gosselin and her boyguard, Steve Neid, in a 2010 SUV, but as the car arrived, she refused to get in!
Her bitch Neid told the generous woman, after her lengthy drive, that she needed a stretch limo with a divider.
And it didn't get any better when they arrived at their destination!
"It was really difficult to find a place to get her into the building because she wanted a side entrance, no crowd, no parking garage, and she needed to be dropped off right next to the entrance," divulged Hoffman. "It took three security guards and two others to get her to her dressing room."
Kate even snubbed several other attendees, including Real Housewife of New York City star, Jill Zarin and Hairspray actress, Nikki Blonsky!
Zarin, who was skating that night, took the time to introduce herself to Kate away from the cameras, but her bodyguard was not having it.
"It completely threw her off guard and Steve stepped in between them, attempting to keep them apart," said Hoffman, who was assigned to keeping the TLC witch happy.
And as Blonsky was about to continue her hosting duties, she got a little surprise from Neid as he "protected" Kate, while she was waiting in the wings for her introduction.
"Nikki finally comes out of the bathroom and we're trying to get her to the stage, but the security guard blocks her from getting to the stage!" continued the stage manager. "He didn't bodycheck her, but he definitely nudged her out of the way."
Even A-list skater Johnny Weir felt her participation in the show was a burden!
"She didn't even look at anybody," he said. "She did her little speech in the beginning of the show and left. Kate Gosselin was playing the diva act…I was disappointed to meet her and I was so disappointed she was involved in the show. It was such a waste."
Tell that to TLC, bb!
As we followed earlier this year, Hairspray actress Nikki Blonsky and America's Next Top Model alum Bianca Golden got into an altercation at the Turks and Caicos airport this past summer.
Blonsky's dad reportedly even hit Golden's mom causing her to go to the hospital.
Well, now the assault charges against Nikki Blonsky have officially been dropped.
Blonsky and Golden have been cleared of all charges following their family brawl on July 29th.
Turks and Caicos Police Sgt. Calvin Chase said "The cases against Nikki Blonsky and Bianca Golden have been dropped. The only case that is still proceeding is against [Blonsky's] father."
Her dad Carl still faces charges of assault and inflicting grievous bodily harm in the incident. And if he's convicted he could face up to five years behind bars.
No reason was given as to why the charges against the ladies were dropped.
