The Hobbit director continues to deny PETA and animal wrangler claims of animal abuse and he didn't pull any punches during a press conference hours before the New Zealand premiere.

PETA is once again leading the charge against animal cruelty, taking their claims against The Hobbit one step further.
As reported last week, PETA and Hobbit producers are playing "he said, she said" over the rumored deaths of 27 animals during filming of the Bilbo Baggins flick.
In a letter dated November 20, PETA has asked New Zealand officials to probe into the abuse allegations
