Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag appeared on The Insider yesterday to discuss Spencer's derogatory Tweets towards The Today Show's Al Roker and things got VERY heated on the panel.

While Spencer defends his actions, Heidi tries to play the "sweet little wife" card who had nothing to do with it and the panel had quite the reaction!

In the end Spencer did a "live Tweet" apologizing to Al, but we're not sure how genuine it was.

We knew this would not be the end of it!

After Speidi's Today Show interview was cancelled on Monday, they figured it had to be the handy work of a feisty weatherman! One who had already dissed them before - the elusive Al Roker!

Of course, Spencer Pratt was not going to take this lying down! So, he sat up and took his anger to Twitter and unleashed a savage attack against the Today Show staple.

He tweets:

"WEATHERMAN I thought you were out of town today getting your stomache stapled again?"

"you look very sick? Do you always look like your about to die? How old are you 97? You should retire asap- No one would even know?"

"I heard you snitched on your own kids at school! I bet your kids HATE you!! I would if my own dad came to my school and snitched me about"

"is it true you have been married 6 times? I'm sure all your wives left you when they realized you were abusive to women! Sicko!"

WTF?!

Roker has not addressed Spencer's tweets, but we fear that it may only get worse if ignored!

Better watch your neck of the woods, Al!

Update: Pratt has apologized, but we don't know if he's being sincere.

Spencer just Tweeted, "Dear WEATHERMAN after speaking with Queen Jones and Queen Lara I'm feeling very regretful for saying HATEFULL tweets towards a good man!!"

No more jungles. No more sharing the spotlight with twiggy, empty headed blondes. Heidi and Spencer Pratt are ready to take the next step in their road to stardom:

Their own reality show!

Honestly, you knew it was coming.

While on a promotional tour for their new book, How to be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixturw, Heidi revealed that she and her hairy hubby are ready to spread their wings and get their own show to give audiences a closer look at their lives!

The couple are very interested in giving the world a more in-depth look at their "everyday lives," which could even include some live segments. But while they are eager to branch out on their own, they also don't want to leave the place that gave them their start. We hear that the duo wants to do both The Hills and their own show.

Will MTV indulge in this Speidi overload? Hasn't the television viewing world suffered enough?!

Perhaps a few more years of fame-whoring wouldn't hurt anyone.

We guess Roker is exercising his power - and probably made Heidi cry AGAIN!

In a statement that will not go unchallenged, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were cut from their Monday appearance on the Today show to promote their book, How to Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture.

"Due to a change in the show's schedule, we had to cancel the interview with Spencer and Heidi Pratt," said a rep for the morning show.

They are just giving Speidi more fuel for their press-ignited fire!

We haven't heard the last of this!!!!

Somehow, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have managed to stay in the spotlight this year. From their big to-do wedding to hating on Al Roker to getting nasty in the jungle, Speidi has had quite a year.

So how will they make things more interesting in 2010? Glad you asked.

Heidi and Spencer want to shave their heads (among other things)!

The duo joked around with reporters while they were promoting their book (which is not a joke) and revealed some of their plans for the new year:

"We're going to adopt an African baby, date Vince Vaughn, shave our heads, pretend Spencer is trapped in a balloon and have octuplets."

They also seem to want to make frenemies with their A-List tabloid counterparts, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Heidi explains:

"Well, we wouldn't want to piss them off. She might steal Spencer—you know, because she steals people's husbands! But seriously, we'd love to sit down and discuss fame with them. Consider this your formal invitation, Brangelina. Let's hang out sometime. We'll be SpeidiLina!"

Yeah, people praise Angelina so much that it sometimes slips their minds that she stole another woman's husband.

Good luck with the lofty list there, friends. We'd especially like to see Spencer with the balloon!

Yeah, it has been awhile since they have pulled a big television stunt for attention.

Getting lazy are we, Speidi?

The dynamic duo known as Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, are slated to appear on The Today Show next Monday. Whether they will be squaring off against Al Roker again remains to be seen, but knowing them as we do, we wouldn't put it past them to REQUEST sitting down with Al, just for the attention.

NYC forecast for Monday - A fierce crapstorm in the 8 o'clock hour!

Oh, in case you were wondering, Speidi does have a legitimate reason for being on the show. They are pimping out their new book, How to Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture.
