Think what you will about her choice of outfits or her sometimes salacious soundbites, you can't deny the fact that she's produced an amazing debut album!

Taylor Momsen is one of a select few actors who has successfully transitioned into music. And she and her band, The Pretty Reckless, went out of their way to make it to our 4th annual One Night In… Austin party this party this past weekend.

We are sooo appreciative! And so was the audience, who were treated to a rawking set by the Gossip Girl star!

And the shortlist just keeps getting stranger and stranger…

We reported earlier in the week that Simon Cowell was considering Enrique Iglesias as a host for the upcoming US edition of X Factor, but it looks as though if that doesn't work, he's heading to the Upper East Side to try and secure none other than Little J herself, Taylor Momsen, for the job!

Seriously!

Sources close to the production have revealed that the show's producers think that The Pretty Reckless singer is perfect because she is "young, hip, and edgy."

Yeah…but like we said about Enrique - does she have any experience hosting a show like this? And we may be the only ones who still think this, but we'd be bummed if she didn't return to Gossip Girl at some point!

Don't get it twisted - we think she'd do just fine - we just are a little concerned with how all over the place these casting announcements seem to be!

Time to buckle down and make some decisions, guys!

And we have major respect for The Gossip Girl star, who wrote every song on the record!

It is our special honor to have Taylor perform at our hotly-anticipated One Night In… Austin party this Saturday night, in what will be her only SXSW appearance!

She just LOVES to paint herself as a whack-job, doesn't she?

Taylor Momsen, who worked with Madonna and her daughter, Lourdes, on their Material Girl line, recently revealed that she was concerned that her influence on the pop icon's kid, as well as other young girls, may not be in their best interest!

She explains:

"I probably am a bad influence. The other day, this reporter brought his 12-year-old daughter to an interview. She was looking at me open-mouthed, like: 'I want stripper shoes, Daddy!' He hated me! But I'm not saying, 'Be like me.' I hope girls read what I say in interviews - they should just be themselves. They wouldn't want to be like me. I'm crazy. I'm fucking out of my mind. I've been told I was out of my mind since I was 11."

Whatever you say, bb!

But we DO like that you want your fans to be themselves!

It's an important lesson to learn, and the earlier, the better!
