We were so proud of T.I. for his recent charity work with an Atlanta children's organization, but now he has gone and said something that just has us shaking our heads.
In a recent interview for Vibe's December issue, the rapper made some interesting comments on gay rights.
Even though the rapper allegedly "supports anyone's sexual preferences," he had no problem finding Tracy Morgan's recent controversial homophobic statements funny.
T.I. said:
"Man, I will say this, the funniest joke I ever heard Tracy say during a stand-up was, 'C’mon man, I think gay people are too sensitive. If you can take a dick, you can take a joke.' [Cracks up laughing.] That shit was funny to me. And it’s kind of true."
He then went on to say:
"They’re like, 'If you have an opinion against us, we’re gonna shut you down.'… That’s not American. If you’re gay you should have the right to be gay in peace, and if you’re against it you should have the right to be against it in peace."
Aaaah! So conflicting!
Yes, we agree that everyone has a right to speak their mind and also has a right to live in peace, but his comments are ignorant. And NOTHING about Tracy's homophobic rant was funny.
You might want to think twice before you open your mouth on gay rights.
Doing something good with his freedom. That is something we can all be thankful for.
T.I. spent the day yesterday giving back to his community. He generously donated 300 frozen turkeys in Atlanta at a charity drive for children in need.
Of his good deed, he said:
"It's an honor and a pleasure to be able to be there and serve those who need me most in the community."
At least he has the good sense to admit that he was wrong.
On Saturday night, Diddy hosted a BET Hip Hop Awards afterparty at the Compound, in Atlanta. All was going well until Diddy flipped out on a club goer for not drinking HIS personal brands of alcohol, Ciroc. (above)
Fortunately, T.I. stepped in and calmed everybody down before things got TOO out of control.
We bet Atlanta audiences are happy now that Taylor Swift postponed her concert back in July ’till this past Sunday night!
The cutie pie had quite the surprise for them at the end of her Speak Now show at the Philips arena, when she not only performed a cover of Live Your Life, but then invited the recently-sprung-from-jail original artist, T.I., onstage with her!
Check out footage from the surprise appearance (above)!
They sound pretty great together, right?
And he certainly looks so happy to be there!
Not that we blame him, after what his alternative has been for the past year!
Last night, all of the best of the best of hip hop music were at the Atlanta Civic Center for the BET Hip Hop Awards. Once the show as finished taping, all the fly dudes and ladies went out to celebrate a successful evening of music with some serious after parties.
One such party was hosted by Diddy and his friends at the Compound. Things were going great, until Diddy got too handsy with someone in the crowd. It's hard to really see from this video (above) but allegedly, Puff called out a guy in the crowd for not drinking his own personal brand of alcohol, Ciroc. He swiped the cup out of his hand, spilling it all over the place and when the guy came at him, Diddy hid behind his security detail.
Regardless of the chain of events, things got very negative really fast, which is why T.I. stepped in at the last minute to ask Diddy and the club goer to cool it.
Like we said, its hard to make out exactly what happened with the video and it is truthfully very loud, so other than a few, um, colorful euphemisms, its hard to make out what they are saying. But have a look/listen and tell us what U think happened?
Some sneaky sis (or bro!) took a little behind-the-scenes video of Madonna's MDNA tour rehearsal in Tel Aviv this weekend and has shared some incredible footage!
Part of Madge's setlist is her iconic homage to self-love, Express Yourself, but in her 2012 version, she is spicing it up by mashing it with Lady GaGa's similar anthem, Born This Way.
Yeah, you're not going to want to miss this!
Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to hear Madonna sing BOTH Express Yourself and Born This Way!
