But the good news is she's doing much better now.
This week, Toni Braxton was unexpectedly rushed to an L.A. hospital after she started experiencing some painful "flare ups" of her Lupus condition.
Shortly after she was taken care of though, she assured her fans that she's in great spirits and "totally fine." She explains:

Braxton Family Values has been renewed after only FOUR episodes! That's awesome!
Not only that, but they're getting 3 extra episodes for the sophomore season, shooting up from 10 to 13:
In its first four airings, Braxton Family Values has averaged a 0.63 household rating, attracting 350,000 women in the 18-49 demographic, three times WE tv's average in the Tuesday 9 PM slot. "The show brings a much bigger and younger audience to WE tv," said the channel's president and GM Kim Martin.
That means a lot more time for the dramz, that's for sure! Ha!
Well, we say good! Good for the Braxtons, good for the network! We're glad it's working for everyone!
Best of luck for the rest of this season and the next!

Who knew the phrase "dot org" could be funny???
Check out the mash-up video (above) of Toni Braxton's sister Tamar using "dot com" and sometimes "dot org" at the end of sentences.
Very silly, but admittedly it made us laugh.edu.
What do U think of Tamar's usage of dot com? Do U think it's amusing.com? How about amusing.gov?? Perhaps amusing.net???

Sad. We can understand being prideful, but not when it puts you in this much trouble.
Just a few months ago,Toni Braxton was in the red for millions upon millions of dollars and debt collectors were hammering down on her door, attempting to get some answers and their money. Her problems began when she cancelled a series of Las Vegas shows she was slated to perform without really giving a reason. However, yesterday on The Wendy Williams Show, Toni revealed that her battle with lupus kept her from doing the shows and her pride kept her from sharing that information with the creditors. She explained to Wendy:
"When you file bankruptcy the bank can take everything… Before I filed… I tried to work out a deal with everyone. No one wanted to work out a deal. They said, 'It was 2008 when the market crashed, or whatever.' They were like, 'Oh, she can work.' But I didn't want to tell people I had lupus…What happened was, the first one was a business bankruptcy. But, because I secured everything personally, I had to file. People don't understand the bankruptcy is for protection."
Such a tough situation to be in, but one, according to Toni, that has finally started to resolve itself. According to Toni, at present, she owes $500K to the banks, which is certainly more manageable than the $50 million she was rumored to owe.
But for right now, sweetie, we think it is more important that you continue to take care of yourself. The money stuff will be sorted out when you are feeling better. Just remember that your health is the most important thing!
Chin up!

When all else fails, there's always reality television!
Toni Braxton has apparently realized this, and is set to appear on a new WE network series called Braxton Family Values, alongside her sisters - and aspiring singers - Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar!
Inneresting!
We imagine that the family dynamic between all of these sisters is going to definitely be worth checking out!
At least we hope!
Thoughts??

This teaches us a valuable lesson: Don't lie on your insurance forms. It can come back to haunt you, and in Toni Braxton's case, it can put you on a downward financial spiral.
In 2006, Braxton took out "show insurance" through her hotel, Lloyd's of London, for her act at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
Toni's heart condition began to act up during the middle of her show's run, so she had to very unfortunately bail on the show, but then found out that shes was still on the hook with the hotel for LOTS of $$$.
Toni's office called Lloyd's about the insurance plan, but they wouldn't honor their end of the agreement, arguing Toni had an undisclosed, preexisting medical condition, which would therefore make the insurance policy null and void.
…And that's how Toni Braxton's financial disaster began.
Whose side are U on? Team Toni or Team Lloyd's?

Wowza! Twice in one career! Bravo, Toni Braxton.
Sources are reporting that the songtress has filed for bankruptcy again, claiming she owes between $10 million and $50 million in unpaid debts! That's a whole lot of cheddar!
She field from Chapter 7 bankruptcy in California, but her debts span across the entire country, including two DMVs in two different states, Cali and Nevada. Along with the DMV, Toni alleges she owes money to several other creditors, including AT&T, The Four Seasons, Neiman Marcus, Tiffany & Co. and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
We think someone needs a reality show and FAST! No way she is going to make enough money to pay these people off just by hanging onto her royalties!

Uh, oh!
Toni Braxton's Nevada home is listed as a foreclosure!
Toni is no stranger to financial woes as last year she was facing foreclosure on a condo in Century City and she has filed for bankruptcy back in 1998.
Toni and her husband Keirston Lewis bought the home in Henderson, Nevada for $2.6 million in 2007, but they separated last year. The home is listed as a foreclosure online for $1.15 million.
The house has four bedrooms, a pool, three-car garage and nice views.
Sounds like a sweet pad — it's too bad she had to lose it!
