It was the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, and now we know exactly how it happened.

In times of tragedy people often come together to try and help in anyway they can.
Well after the worst mass shooting in U.S. history took place just over a week ago, some of the biggest names in Broadway came together to record a cover of the 1965 hit What the World Needs Now Is Love to raise funds for the LGBT Center of Central Florida. As we previously reported, the A-list group — including Sara Bareilles, Sarah Jessica Parker, Whoopi Goldberg, and many more — recorded the song on June 15 at the Avatar Studios in NYC.
We're happy to report that the music video for this inspirational song dropped on Monday! Bless.
Other soloists include Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Matthew Broderick, Sutton Foster, and countless others. Not to mention, many of the talented artists involved with this song will perform the number on Maya & Marty at 10/9c on NBC. LOVES it!
Be sure to ch-ch-check out the powerful performance for yourself (above)! Don't forget you can purchase the song at BroadwayRecords.com for $1.99 and the track will also be available on iTunes.
We'll miss you!
The news broke after the ABC show's executive producer Candi Carter sent an email to the staffers on Friday, saying:
"I have some bittersweet news to share—Michelle Collins is leaving the show. A gracious presence on stage and off, she asked smart questions, made us laugh and will always be part of The View family. We wish her great success with some exciting new projects ahead.
Please join me in thanking Michelle for her hard work, great humor and many contributions this season to The View. She'll be in the office next week to say good-bye to you personally."
This is a somewhat surprising announcement seeing as how Michelle was only announced as a cohost about two years ago.
However, Variety had previously reported that Collins' eventual exit was actually not voluntary and
2016 is officially the year of daytime casting changes!
Well, now it looks like The View wants to get in on the fun… because we're now hearing Raven-Symoné, Candace Cameron Bure, and Michelle Collins are all leaving the show between now and the Summer hiatus!
According to a Daily Mail report out Wednesday, a source close to production claims that ABC has already selected the replacements expected to join Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Paula Faris for Season 21, saying:
Whoopi Goldberg is bringing a new reality show to Oxygen, and it's all about transgender models.
The View panelist has revealed that she will serve as an executive producer on a new series about Slay Model Management, the first business to strike deals exclusively with transgender individuals.
The show, titled Strut, follows a group of the agency's talent who dream of becoming household names.
The 60-year-old explained why she feels the project will be an important addition to Oxygen's programming, saying in a statement:
"This show is important right now, because for all of the positive advances the community has made and continues to make, transgender is still a hot-button word that gets people hysterical. People tend to focus on the stereotype instead of the person, and this series will give viewers a unique opportunity to spend time with real people who are struggling with the same challenges we all face as we make our way through the world."
The series' stars hope to one day change the way society perceives beauty and gender.
Miz Goldberg also added that she wants to make people realize they should be more accepting of the transgender community, exclaiming:
Apparently, Miz Goldberg told close friends that she was "fed up" with the ABC program and that she wants to be off the panel. Oh snap!
One source, who is said to be a daytime TV veteran, dished:
"Whoopi has told those close to her she will exit the show."
Not to mention, the 60 year old is currently in negotiations with the network to extend her contract. So, perhaps the funny lady is using this bit of gossip as leverage? Curiouser and curiouser!
Nonetheless, it seems that ABC is desperate to have Whoopi stay as one confidant relayed:
