Former hockey player Derek Boogaard died in 2011 from an accidental overdose of painkillers and alcohol, and now his family is filing a wrongful death lawsuit againt the NHL.

An autopsy revealed that the late New York Ranger suffered from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) at the time of his death, which is caused by taking multiple blows to the head and suffering from concussions throughout his career.

The family's attorney William Gibbs claims the trauma caused Derek to become addicted to his pain medication, saying:

Grosssss! This Lady Is Addicted To Eating Vapor Rub!

Addictions are rough, and we don't really want to downplay the struggle that people go through when they're addicted to something, no matter what it is.

That being said, eating vapor rub is super gross — we just feel bad for her doing it! She spends hundred of dollars a month on the addiction, and can't go 30 minutes without a 'fix.'

That includes putting it in her morning tea!

What the what?!?!

Drug Overdose Leading Cause Of Homeless Deaths

The leading cause of death among the homeless used to be AIDS.

Now a new study has found it's actually drug overdoses, usually from painkillers and heroin.

The study looked at homeless adults who were treated through the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program over a 5-year period.

The death rate from O.D.ing has tripled in the past 15 years!
