LeAnn Rimes Tears Up At First Concert Out Of Rehab

Sounds like this was therapeutic for all!

LeAnn Rimes took a break from rehab this past weekend to fly to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to perform for fans, who were treated with a very intimate evening from the country cutie.

So intimate, in fact, that the 30-year-old began to tear up while performing one of her ballads! The power of love, huh!

The waterworks didn't last long though and, despite all that "stress and anxiety," LeAnn shared lots of laughs with her audience too.

Her treatment program seems to be working because LeAnn really seemed to be able to put her problems behind her and just enjoy her time on stage during the 70-minute set.

As far as we know she's resuming her stay at the recovery center this week, but will be packing her bags again this weekend for a trip to Maine where she'll perform at the Oxford County Fair.

Given all of the dramz surrounding LeAnn Rimes these days, we were VERY relieved to hear that she's doing "extremely well" in treatment for anxiety and stress.

Another friend of the country singer has confirmed that all of her emotions are stabilizing and "she's already feeling better, strong."

Before she entered rehab, however, the 30-year-old revealed a little more about WHY she felt she needed treatment in the first place. While reassuring that she's "happy and healthy," Rimes explained:

LeAnn Rimes Berated A Former Twitter Follower Over The Phone!

To quote Kyle Broflovski's mom in South Park, "What, what WHAT!?"

A teacher named Kimberly Smiley is telling sources that she received an angry phone call from LeAnn Rimes all because the woman stopped following her on Twitter!

Guess that helps to explain why the singer suddenly checked into rehab on her birthday to learn how to cope with "anxiety and stress."

Rimes, who has been criticized for both her figure and her affair with Eddie Cibrian while he was married to Brandi Glanville, reportedly called the Northern California mom when she eating lunch with a few of her Twitter fans on March 26. One woman eating lunch with the country star knew Smiley and made the phone call so Rimes could start off the strange convo with:

Aww! Poor girl!

We're absolutely shocked to learn that LeAnn Rimes has checked herself into rehab! So what's going on with the country cutie these days?

Alcohol? Drugs? Sex addiction? Eating disorder?

Nope, none of those scandalous issues we've come to expect from celebrities. Rimes is apparently enrolled in a program to treat "anxiety and stress," as her rep explained:

Happiness Gene Is Found In Women!

Female Happiness Gene Found

There is a gene in women that helps produce happiness, and researchers have just found it!

Low expression of the gene MAOA (monoamine oxidase A) was associated with increased happiness in adult females — but not in men.

Here's what the researchers said:

“…[L]ow expression of MAOA has been related to some negative outcomes like alcoholism, aggressiveness and anti-social behavior. It’s even called the warrior gene by some scientists; but, at least for women, our study points to a brighter side of this gene.”

Ouch, it's a double edged sword!

It was a relatively small study, though — they analyzed the DNA of 193 women and 152 men, cross-checking the results with the participants’ self-reported happiness scores.

If you're wondering how MAOA works, it's like antidepressants. It helps to break down neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine.

Weirdly enough, this could account for the paradox between men and women that women report more anxiety and mood disorders than men, but have more happiness too.

Science is AWESOME!

We wonder what kind of help for depression this will lead to!
