Brooklyn Decker didn't waste any time helping out her fellow Texans who were involved in the fertilizer plant explosion in the town of West.

On Thursday morning the Sports Illustrated model rushed to her local blood bank to donate and encouraged others to do the same, tweeting:

"Yo. People in Austin.. Donate blood today. Lamar and 43rd st. The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas. #WestTX"

Did we mention she did this all makeup-free ans still managed to look gorgeous?

Such a model citizen!

Newbie judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato got their first taste of the X Factor today in Austin.

For the first round of auditions Brit looked faboosh in a pink Brian Lichtenberg bodycon dress, black YSL heels and soft wavy curls.

Demi also went in a neon direction with a printed Topshop dress, leather jacket, black peep toe heels and a high bun.

We think they both look great! Don't U???

Facebook is throwing their hat into the daily deals ring.

The social networking site has unveiled a new Groupon-esque program called Facebook Deals, which is "designed to let the site's 500 million users easily share their shopping experiences with one another, and save money in the process."

Currently deals are available in Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, San Diego and San Francisco with more cities coming soon.

South By Southwest conference is adding a fashion showcase to the lineup this year.

The showcase known as Style X or Style By will function as a retail marketplace where SXSW attendees can browse and purchase items from vendors and designers.

Style X is open from 2pm-9pm on March 18th and 11am-9pm on March 19th at the Convention Center.
