Don’t expect Anna Kendrick to address the drama surrounding her co-star Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni!
On Friday, the Pitch Perfect star stepped out for the South By Southwest film festival premiere of her upcoming movie Another Simple Favor with the Gossip Girl alum in Austin, Texas. Blake is the talk of the town lately because of her nasty legal battle with the It Ends With Us director/actor, so you know someone would ask Anna about the issue eventually! And it happened right on the red carpet!

In an interview with Variety, the Woman of the Hour director was asked about her feelings on “everything that’s going on in the world” impacting the release of the A Simple Favor sequel. Of course, the interviewer is alluding to the Blake and Justin dispute! And you know what? Anna answered the question the best way she knows how… with humor! She said:
“Why, what happened? I did ayahuasca, and the last year of my life is just gone. But I’ve heard the movie’s amazing.”
LOLz!
Obviously, Anna knows what has happened! How could she not? As we said, the drama is all anyone can talk about these days! When it comes to Variety‘s question? We have heard she is “upset” about how the legal battle has affected their new film, as fans plan to boycott it since they don’t want to support Blake. They’ve made that very clear in the comments section of any Another Simple Favor post! It’s sucks! No one wants to see a project they worked hard on be trashed and ignored because of outside drama! However, you clearly won’t find Anna expressing her frustration aloud! What a brilliant way to avoid talking about the messy situation! Check out the interview (below):
Ann had quite the eventful night because this moment also came after she threw some major shade at Blake when asked about what is was like to work with her again. While Ryan Reynolds‘ wife made sure to gush about how the filmmaker was “the best” on the red carpet, Anna just replied:
“Oh, you know…”
AND WALKED AWAY! She couldn’t even fake it! That just tells us everything we needed to know about those feud rumors about the two women circulating!
