A half dozen babies?! Phew! Girl! Good luck to you!

Lauryn Hill announced last night at her show in Detroit that after this tour, she was going to be taking a little time off. Before she let the crowd get into a booing frenzy over another "hiatus," Lauryn revealed that she needed to be off her feet for awhile, since she's preggers with her sixth child!

Okay, we guess that is an expectable excuse!

We kid, we kid! Its more than expectable! It's WONDERFUL! Such joyous news! We're so happy for you!

Congrats to the new momma…for the sixth time!

Kid Rock Accepts Controversial NAACP Honor

Kid Rock Loves Black People, Accepts NCAAP Award

Kid Rock accepted the controversial Great Expectations Award at the Detroit branch of the NAACP's 56th annual Fight For Freedom Fund Dinner. It's controversial because Kid Rock has been known to use confederate flags during his live shows and videos.

But, as he accepted the award, this happened:

Rock announced $100,000 in donations — five $10,000 grants to Motor City-based organizations and $50,000 to the American Red Cross for tornado victims in U.S. Southern states. Many in the crowd announced at more than 10,000 gave Rock a standing ovation, diffusing a bit of the controversy that surrounded the award.

The NAACP President said that they weren't presenting the flag the award, but rather the man for his works in the community and charity. But that didn't stop a few dozen protestors outside the venue from trying to express their disdain for awarding someone who uses the flag in any context.

Here's what Kid had to say about it:

"I've never flown that flag with hate in my heart, not one ounce." He explained that his use of the image was an "homage" to Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, who he's name-checked in his songs and whose "Sweet Home Alabama" was an ingredient in his 2008 mash-up hit, "All Summer Long." Rock explained that he made the donations to "turn a negative into a positive," and concluded his speech by saying that, "I love America, I love Detroit and I love black people!"

Honestly, we don't think Kid Rock is racist. We do think using the flag is insensitive, no matter the context, but we really do think he's not doing it as a slight against anyone.

It'd be nice to see him not use it anymore after accepting this award, that's for sure, regardless of his impressive donations!

Make it right, Kid!

Bill Cosby Going Two For The Price Of One!

bill-cosby-show-selling-two-for-the-price-of-one

Well, times are certainly tough!

Bill Cosby is set to perform his latest show, Bill Cosby, An Evening of Comedy, at the Sound Board in Detroit's MotorCity Casino/Hotel, but apparently, isn't pushing enough tickets for the event, because they're now being sold 2 for 1 via Ticketmaster - and they're all already going for under $45!

Ouch! Not gonna lie, that's pretty rough!

Best of luck selling those tickets!

Sheen's Tickets On The Rise Again

Filed under: Etc. > Charlie Sheen

Sheen Ticket Rise A Bit

It has been quite the roller coaster ride for Charlie Sheen after this past weekend.

First he gets booed off stage in Detroit, then he comes back and earns a standing ovation in Chicago. Not only that, though, as we reported earlier the fiasco in Detroit has led to a huge plummet in the price of his tickets, especially in NYC.

The news of his standing ovation in Chicago, however, seems to be breathing some life back into those tickets, because they've risen from the low of $24 to $40/$42. That' still a far cry away from the original $126 dollar price point.

And there are still thousands of them available.

But this seems to be good news for the MaSheen, perhaps he can turn this Tourpedo around and actually make something of it.

We probably wouldn't count on it, but, good luck Charlie! Let's hope that sobriety stays in check!
