jennifer lopez water mite named after her

We bet Jennifer Lopez is equal parts flattered and confused after scientists named a new species after her.

The weird part? The species was a water mite!

That's right, A BUG!!

The thing is, the water mite was found in Puerto Rico and not only does J. Lo have Puerto Rican roots, her music kept the scientists pumped while they worked! Also, she's smokin' hot!

A biologist involved in the discovery of the new species said:

The New Season Of Discovery's Naked And Afraid Will Be Your Summer Obsession! You Have To Watch This!

We say watch this new show naked but be unafraid…because it's AH-Mazing!

The people participating on Naked And Afraid can't really differentiate between a bathtub and a toilet, but that's life in the wilderness for you…cruel, harsh, and very blurred out!

Seriously, one of the contestants ends up peeing in the same water source that his fellow contestant took a bath in!

Ch-ch-check out the very naked clip for yourself (above)!!!

She was snapped while in the recording studio spitting some sick freestyles laying down some narration.

She shared the pic (above) and wrote:

Dead Shark Rides NYC Subway!

Dead Shark

Either Discovery is getting creative and cruel with a new viral campaign for Shark Week or some prankster wanted to celebrate Shark Week in their own weird way.

We're assuming the latter.

On a Queens-bound N train, passengers were surprised to find themselves riding alongside a dead sand shark!

No one saw how the shark ended up on the subway, but one witness who was possibly one of the first on the scene, said:
