Abby Woodgate, a 30-year-old woman from Colchester, England, found a surprise in her banana bunch.
What she first thought might have been mold turned out to be something much more sinister…
A spider egg sac!!
Now this wasn't just some ordinary, terrifying discovery either. The eggs were unborn Brazilian wandering spiders. The Brazilian wandering spider, also known as the banana spider, is one of the most venomous spiders on earth.

We bet Jennifer Lopez is equal parts flattered and confused after scientists named a new species after her.
The weird part? The species was a water mite!
That's right, A BUG!!
The thing is, the water mite was found in Puerto Rico and not only does J. Lo have Puerto Rican roots, her music kept the scientists pumped while they worked! Also, she's smokin' hot!
A biologist involved in the discovery of the new species said:

Jane Lynch is a super talented lady!!
So of course she'd be the perfect choice to narrate the Discovery and BBC co-produced film PENGUINS: WADDLE ALL THE WAY!
She was snapped while in the recording studio
spitting some sick freestyles laying down some narration.
She shared the pic (above) and wrote:

Congrats Tyrannosaurus Rex, we just found a new member of your family!
Researchers at the Natural History Museum of Utah and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science have published a paper describing the new species of dinosaur: Lythronax argestes.
The name translates to the King of Gore and that's just terrifying!
One of the researchers said:

Can you imagine animal lover Jane Lynch in a tuxedo??
We can! And it's a perrrrrfect image in our heads and it totes fills us with Glee, because we just heard she's been tapped to narrate a brand new documentary on penguins for the Discovery Channel!
You'd think after all the documentaries out there about the little waddlers that we'd be tired of them, but you'd be wrong!
Jane's project is called

Los Angeles is such a diverse and random place, especially around LAX.
Believe it or not, a new species of lizard was found in the area!!
An 8 to 10-inch legless lizard!
Legless lizard? You mean a snake?
Nope! A legless lizard is a worm-like reptile but not a snikity snake!

Either Discovery is getting creative and cruel with a new viral campaign for Shark Week or some prankster wanted to celebrate Shark Week in their own weird way.
We're assuming the latter.
On a Queens-bound N train, passengers were surprised to find themselves riding alongside a dead sand shark!
No one saw how the shark ended up on the subway, but one witness who was possibly one of the first on the scene, said:
