He recognizes that using Hitler in any analogy is an awful idea and he could have picked ANY OTHER historical figure to compare the contrast between the President and John Boehner.

Hank Williams Jr., the singer for Monday Night Football on ESPN, has just been fired because of the comparison he made between Obama and Hitler the other day.
This is the proper course of action, most definitely. On the other hand, why would anyone ever ask Hank Williams Jr. for political commentary??

ESPN decided to yank his iconic song and dance from the air on Monday after he said a golf game between President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner was "like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu."
Initially, the country singer only replied with an explanation of his "extreme" analogy, but has finally coughed up an apology on Tuesday. He wrote on his website:
"I have always been very passionate about Politics and Sports and this time it got the Best or Worst of me. The thought of the Leaders of both Parties Jukin and High Fiven on a Golf course, while so many Families are Struggling to get by simply made me Boil over and make a Dumb statement and I am very Sorry if it Offended anyone. I would like to Thank all my supporters. This was Not written by some Publicist."
This should help ESPN decide whether or not his absence on Monday night was a one time thing. Our guess is we'll see him singing about football before next week's game.
And this time, she's making some pretty SERIOUS allegations against the officers involved in her Thursday night arrest for drug possession, reckless endangerment, and tampering with evidence!
