Military Dolphin

This seems like a total joke but truth is stranger than fiction.

Ukraine's navy apparently lost three dolphins from their training ground in the Black Sea off the coast of Crimea.

These military dolphins weren't just trained to find mines or anything, they were possibly armed with knives and guns!!

Disabled Veteran Fighting To Save Service Dog From Euthanasia As Former Owner Ruthlessly Attacks Pooch

Filed under: Legal MattersSad SadPetsAnimal RightsAttack!DogAnimal Cruelty

disabled veteran fighting to save service dog web

Wow…it is truly sad how pets get absolutely NO RESPECT when it comes to the law!

Jeremy Aguilar is a military veteran who has fought in both Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as responding to Hurricane Katrina relief with the Oklahoma National Guard.

Aguilar now has his pooch, four year old Dutch, to help him through his disabilities, but unfortunately, the selfishness of one person may sentence this dog to death.

Dutch was left with his former owner while Aguilar and his wife, Heather, drove a friend to the airport. The former owner then began to MERCILESSLY beat Dutch, first punching the dog repeatedly in the face before her hands hurt…then she used a metal pole.

The pooch finally defended himself and bit the owner on the leg and butt….and now Dutch has been labeled a vicious dog and faces euthanasia as the former owner relentless pursues legal action.

The former owner even ADMITTED to

While this may seem like good news for dolphins, there is a catch-22 about being replaced.

For years, the United States Navy has trained dolphins and sea lions to locate enemy mines underwater as well as enemy divers.

Dolphins were trained to alert sailors of mines while sea lions placed claws on swimmers, forcing them to stop.

Now the Navy has made robots to help detect mines

It is always ahmazing to hear how courageous and loyal dogs are, especially those in the military.

Theo was one of the bravest pooches in the British military, and today he received the highest honor a service dog can receive.

The Springer spaniel was posthumously awarded the Dickin Medal as he died the day his handler, Lance Corporal Liam Tasker died as well.

Help Get Service Dogs To Veterans With PTSD!

get-servicemembers-dogs-petition.jpg

There's a great petition out there right now that needs your signatures!

It's about trying to get trained service dogs to servicemen and women suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The petition said:

"The love and help of a trained service dog can reduce the suffering of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Since the Federal Government accepted the service of each member of the American military, the Federal Government has a moral responsibility to do everything in its power to heal the wounds incurred in that service, including psychological wounds. Please do what you can to urge Congress to provide the funding necessary to train and provide service dogs as faithful friends and aids to the Veterans who need them.

Please go to gooddogsheal.org for more information.

And also at Good Dogs Heal on Facebook."

Dogs are literally the best thing ever.

There's not much more you can say.

A service dog is not only trained to help but they offer a form of companionship that nothing else can replace.

The petition has just over 4100 signatures as of this writing. Let's get them way over their goal of 10,000!

Please help get these dogs to veterans by signing the petition HERE!

Oliver Stone Teams Up With PETA To Expose Horrific Military Training Procedures

Filed under: Icky Icky PooFilm FlickersSad SadPETAGoat

A war veteran himself, Oliver Stone isn't just the man behind Platoon, Born on the Fourth July and Heaven & Earth.

He knows what war is like and butchering and mutilating goats is NOT it.

The director teamed up with PETA to expose the harsh undercover footage shot at a U.S. Coast Guard training facility in Virginia Beach.

Stone urges everyone to voice their concern and help lead the military to more humane and modern training.

Check out Stone's message (above) to learn more about helping the men and women who serve this country.
