Another possible terrorist attack may have just been thwarted.
HDI-Arena in Hannover, Germany was evacuated Tuesday afternoon just 90 minutes before a friendly match between the German national team and Netherlands was set to take place.
Hanover police chief Volker Kluwe told local media outlets that the game was cancelled after multiple "serious" threats were received warning of a potential attack similar to what happened in Paris, France.
While no explosive materials have been confirmed, several reports have indicated that a truck filled with bombs disguised as an ambulance was located outside of the stadium.
What makes this thwarted attack even more eerily similar to the fatal killings in Paris on Friday is that German Chancellor Angela Merkel was scheduled to attend the game, just as President François Hollande was watching his match.
There have also been reports that a concert venue similar to the Bataclan has been evacuated.
We'll continue to update you as the story develops.
Stay safe, everyone.
