Travis Barker’s new documentary is pulling back the curtain on some of the most difficult chapters of his life, and one of the people helping tell that story is none other than his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler. Yes, really!
The upcoming Hulu documentary, Travis Barker: Love Is Louder Than Fear, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend and chronicles seven years of the Blink-182 drummer’s life.
Per Us Weekly and other outlets who were there on hand for the premiere and more, fans can apparently expect an emotional deep dive into everything from Travis’ recovery after that horrific 2008 plane crash to his battles with addiction and his journey toward finding happiness again.

What’s especially surprising, tho, is that Moakler appears in the project and speaks candidly about their former marriage. The pair was married from 2004 until 2008, and while their relationship has had its fair share of ups and downs over the years, she was included in the documentary to discuss Barker’s struggles during one of the darkest periods of his life.
According to the film, Moakler recalls Barker admitting that he was taking an astonishing 20 to 30 painkillers a day while dealing with addiction. The documentary reportedly doesn’t shy away from the seriousness of the situation, with Barker also revealing that other people around him were deeply worried about his well-being. At one point, a security guard was even keeping watch over him while he slept out of fear that something terrible could happen.
The documentary also includes nostalgic footage from Meet the Barkers, giving viewers a glimpse back at the family’s reality TV days. Their children — Landon and Alabama — are featured throughout the film, as is Atiana De La Hoya, whom Moakler shares with ex Oscar De La Hoya.
Of course, Barker’s current chapter with wife Kourtney Kardashian is also a major focus. The couple opens up about some of the most private moments of their relationship, including a heartbreaking pregnancy loss they experienced before welcoming their son Rocky. In fact, in one of the documentary’s most emotional moments, Kardashian reveals:
“When we lost the baby, we were devastated. We cried for days.”
So sad.
Per media reports from the film fest, the doc also explores the couple’s difficult road to parenthood, including multiple IVF attempts and the emotional toll that process took on them.
But while many viewers may tune in expecting to hear from Kourtney, it’s the unexpected appearance from Shanna that is sure to get people talking. Ya know?!
BTW, Travis Barker: Love Is Louder Than Fear is all set to premiere on Hulu on August 13. Will U be watching?? We sure will!
