Storage Wars' Darrell Sheets Death Case Closed By Police -- Will His Alleged Cyber Bully Face Consequences??

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

The investigation into Darrell Sheets‘ tragic death has been concluded by police.

As we’re sure you know, the beloved Storage Wars star sadly died by suicide in April, just weeks before his birthday. We heard on Wednesday, via new reports, that Darrell had been struggling with insomnia and even had a fight with his son Brandon, in the hours before he died. He also left a note behind, saying he could no longer deal with the alleged relentless bullying he was receiving on Facebook.

The detail about cyberbullying has been a big part of the investigation into his death. Right after his passing, one of his Storage Wars co-stars brought up how Darrell had been in a bad place due to this alleged bullying. A Lake Havasu City Police officer even announced at the time that they’d be looking into these allegations… But now, the case is closed.

According to a police report that was released on Wednesday, and obtained by People on Thursday, Darrell’s death is still being ruled a suicide:

“There is no evidence or information to suggest the death was due to anything other than what was listed in the medical examiner report.”

In the months leading up to this report’s release, per TMZ, investigators interviewed the alleged bully. They denied doing any of the cyberbullying, but subsequently refused to answer about when and where they were the night of Darrell’s death. They said they’d been receiving death threats since the night Darrell died.

The accused said they had nothing to hide and that they never enter Darrell’s home, and interestingly enough… they said they’d simply had a falling out with the Storage Wars star. A falling out? That wording makes it sound like this could’ve been someone that Darrell was friends with or previously close to — not just a random person on the internet.

The bullying that Darrell allegedly went through included receiving TONS of calls from all over the world, all day long, every day. He also eerily received a text at one point, per the investigation, that read:

“We having fun yet?”

The notes of the case also state at one point, Darrell answered one of these calls, only to hear someone whisper something about “fifty thousand dollars” on the other end of the line. Creepy.

Even with all this, though, police ultimately decided not to charge the accused, whom they described as “completely uncooperative.” The Lake Havasu City Attorney’s Office said the case wouldn’t be able to move forward because Darrell wouldn’t be around to testify.

A lot to take in… Our heart truly breaks for Darrell’s loved ones. We hope they get some closure following this tragedy.
