Katy Perry Branded! Changing Last Name!

On The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, Katy Perry revealed that she is officially having her name changed to Katy Brand!

Though she’s still in the process of taking Russell Brand’s last name, she admits that she is already responding to people when they call her Mrs. Brand. She explains:

“Like if I’m at an event or something like that, and they want special attention, they go, ‘Mrs. Brand!’ And I go shwoosh [looks back].”

Ha! Take note reporters! That’s an insider tip right there!

Isn’t it so funny that nowadays it bigger news when a woman takes her husband’s last name than not?
