Seems like Elton John has had a change of heart.
With the passing of Prop 8 back in 2008, Elton John said he wasn’t a big fan of the word “marriage,’ and that he and longtime partner David Furnish are “very happy with a a civil partnership” and “if gay people want to get married, or get together, they should have a civil partnership.”
Now Sir Elton has changed his mind and had some harsh words for gay marriage opponents at the $3 million fundraiser for the American Foundation for Equal Rights earlier this week in Los Angeles.
Elton told the crowd, “It seems so ridiculous I could be with my partner for 17 years and we have a son, and my partner and I can’t get married,” then yelled out a “f–k you” to those responsible from keep him from getting married.
Glad you’ve changed your tune, Elton.
