With one lawsuit behind her, Courtney Love can now say goodbye to another.
Love has just settled a lawsuit against a fashion designer who claims the rocker defamed her via Twitter. Dawn Simorangkir, also know as the “Boudior Queen”, will reportedly receive about $430,000!
The whole case started when the designer got involved with Courtney over a $4,000 bill which then involved a 20 minute Twitter rant from Courtney.
Simorangkir claims all the negative Tweets caused her to go out of business.
Really? Somehow we don’t picture Courtney having that much power and influence over people.
Though Simorangkir’s attorney adds:
“The amount of the settlement says it all. Her reprehensible defamatory comments were completely false and $430,000 is quite a significant way to say I am sorry. One would hope that, given this disaster, restraint of pen, tongue and tweet would guide Ms. Love├óΓé¼Γäós future conduct.├óΓé¼┬¥
In case you needed a reminder, some of Courtney’s Tweets included calling her an “asswipe nasty lying hosebag thief”.
