Okay, so maybe you haven’t heard about this, but earlier this year, Roseanne got her reality show picked up by Lifetime about her macadamia nut farm in Hawaii.
No, that is not a euphemism for something – Roseanne and her BF actually grows nuts!
Think that’s funny? So does Rosie O’Donnell!
Last night, Ro was at the Matrix Awards in NYC, where she was asked to make a speech. Thankfully, she was fairly tame with her topics, but she did take a moment to mock of of her fellow comedienne’s, particualry those who don’t have their won show coming up on the OWN network. At one point in her speech, she said:
“It’s not easy being Rosie O’Donnell’s publicist. I’m all happy [now] — I have a new show coming on TV in September. I put on my makeup. I haven’t cursed. Without her├óΓé¼┬ªI don’t think I’d be here. I’d be on the macadamia nut farm with Roseanne Barr.”
Hey, you could be worse places!
We’re actually going to venture to say that your shows are on equal playing field. Sure, you might have the power of Oprah in your corner, Ro, but the network, as a whole, isn’t doing so hot. Roseanne, however, is on a network that had Project Runaway. If her show gets anywhere near that, she’s going to have triple the viewers that you have!
Just saying – maybe you should wait till you are both on the air to start mocking!
