It’s on!
According to industry sources, both Van Halen’s A Different Kind of Truth and Adele’s 21 will be fighting for the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 next week!
We’re hearing that the new Van Halen album is set to sell 180,000 to 200,000 copies, which SHOULD land it that top spot on the chart…but because of Adele’s Grammy buzz, she could end up selling enough units to stay ahead of Eddie and co.
Also, Adele has an interview with Anderson Cooper on CBS’ 60 Minutes right before the Grammys, which could stir up EVEN MORE buzz!
Should be exciting to see how this all plays out! We’d certainly LOVE to see Goddess Adele continue her Billboard reign…but it would definitely be something to see Van Halen reach that #1 spot in 2012! Those boys have been around since 1972!
