Seacrest Randy Jackson, OUT!
As predicted and previously reported, the veteran dawg of American Idol has stepped down from his judge role after ELEVEN seasons!
But don├óΓé¼Γäót worry, dude, dawg, yo! — we├óΓé¼Γäóll still be getting Randy on the show, only in the form of a mentor!
However, not everyone on the Idol set is feelin’ it! Some don’t think Jackson is “well-suited” enough to be placed in a mentor role!
Though, with only him and Ryan left from the original cast, it seems Randy has got seniority on his side!
And FINALLY, after seasons of reminding everyone how he worked with Mariah Carey, he’ll be working with her again, just in a different capacity!
As for Jackson’s replacement? His seat is said to be filled by Nicki Minaj, with her deal thisclose to being locked in place, though nothing’s been made official yet!
Idol will also be choosing TWO more judges to sit alongside Mariah and most likely Minaj, totaling out to four judges, just like back in season nine!
As for previous contenders that have since been ruled out? Looks like Kanye West, Diddy, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus have been nixed!
So that now leaves us with… ??? Keith Urban and Alanis, perhaps? Maybe Pharrell? Or Nick Jonas?!
OH the options are endless for season twelve!!!
