Despite Monday’s rumor that Karl Lagerfeld would be announcing his successor very soon, Chanel has quickly put it to rest with the following statement:

Please note that Karl Lagerfeld is the Creative Designer of CHANEL and has a long-term contract with the company. Replacing him is not an issue.
