Antwerp’s Mode Museum is holding a fashion retrospective of the color black.

The city of Antwerp holds the dark color close to their black little hearts because they were notorious for dyeing fabrics that color in the 16th and 17th centuries.

The exhibit, titled “Black. Masters of Black in Fashion & Costume” features pieces from designers including Ann Demeulemeester, Olivier Theyskens and Dirk Van Saene, as well as pieces from couture houses like Givenchy, Chanel and avant-garde designer Gareth Pugh.

The retrospective will go black until August 8th of this year.
